Title: Some music... Post by: pspeed on September 01, 2013, 02:57:26 AM Trying to finalize the music that will play in the background of the main menu. Still trying to ease back into coding after my little vacation.
http://mythruna.com/media/mythruna-theme-celtic.mp3 Going to listen to it in a few different places and might change the arrangement a bit. It ends abruptly because it's setup to loop. Eventually, I will give this to a proper sound engineer to finalize. Title: Re: Some music... Post by: Michael on September 01, 2013, 05:11:07 AM downloaded it, love it. Great job :)

Post by: pspeed on May 25, 2014, 01:52:25 AM As a bonus, here is the ambient tune I wrote for the open source game Monkey Trap: (sort of a game... was an example of using a piece of tech and it works well for that but the game isn't done.)
https://jmonkeyplatform-contributions.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/zay-es/examples/MonkeyTrap/assets/Sounds/ambient-theme.ogg ...I may use it in Mythruna also somewhere. Wandering in dungeons or whatever. Title: Re: Some music... Post by: pspeed on May 25, 2014, 02:04:07 AM And while I'm on the subject, the old link to the fiddle music was busted....
http://mythruna.com/temp/Mythruna-Fiddle-v9.mp3 For like taverns or something. Title: Re: Some music... Post by: Michael on May 25, 2014, 04:55:59 AM Ahmg, beautiful music, Paul. I've been trying to teach myself to make music as well, and uhh.. hasn't worked out so far. :P
Title: Re: Some music... Post by: Moonkey on May 25, 2014, 11:26:12 AM Hehe, reminded me of pirate music.
Title: Re: Some music... Post by: pspeed on May 25, 2014, 12:53:01 PM Ahmg, beautiful music, Paul. I've been trying to teach myself to make music as well, and uhh.. hasn't worked out so far. :P Well, writing music is one thing. Time and experience and there are lots of sites online that can help. ...but full score orchestral compositions is quite a different thing. Not so many video tutorials on that! :) That's where most of my learning goes these days. But for example, the dungeon ambient one is based on something I wrote way back in the 90s using a mod tracker. I had my own MUD that I wrote with a custom telnet client that could do things like play music or in-built sound effects. That was one of the tracks I wrote for that... obviously fixed up quite a bit and some of the sillier parts removed. Title: Re: Some music... Excellent wandering and tavern (celebration?) music, but I'm glad the menu tune gets the important spot.http://mythruna.com/temp/Mythruna-Fiddle-v9.mp3 For like taverns or something. Title: Re: Some music... Post by: pspeed on July 15, 2014, 12:56:17 PM For posterity and anyone who didn't notice the other post where I put this link... some new music:
http://mythruna.com/media/bitter-sweet.mp3 Not sure what I will use it for yet but it's nice because the stems can be rearranged in several ways. I may use it for ambient music during blueprinting and crafting with random arrangement. Title: Re: Some music... Post by: Tamarie on July 15, 2014, 09:47:10 PM Hey, I think you're my favorite composer.
