Note: These items are not and will likely never be canon. Just interpret them as fun additions or templates for special items.

Legendary/soul Weapons

Most legendary weapons were made by soul crafters; a lineage that has long since been extinguished. They all have incredible magical powers, but are all fairly unstable. Unlike things like the living staves, these weapons are forged out of souls, and not simply housing captured soul links. These unstable weapons are sealed to prevent them from quickly dying, as it were, due to the sheer amount of energy they release unsealed. The weapons are all named according to the attack that destroys them.
  • Haushoch Gestirn: Extremely powerful sets of blades that masters of an element can use for a single battle. The weapons themselves come in sets of three or more, and deal immense amounts of damage on their own within their short lifetimes on the battlefield. The Gestirns are weapons said to be forged from within the spirit realm, crafted of sacrificed souls. When the blade of a gestirn set breaks, so too does the soul that formed it; rendering the blade into dust. When the blades are placed in the correct formation, the haushoch gestirn can be triggered by igniting a blade with that Gestirn's element. The blades coalesce in a crushing pillar of their element that seethes through every inch of those caught within. It is said that a Gestirn's power is so great that the energy from this final attack creeps into the victim's very soul. It is believed that the solemn crafters of these weapons have long since passed, along with the art of crafting them. It is also said that those who possess these blades can seek council in them, though that is but hearsay and tales. The gestirn were crafted for the champions and kings of once great kingdoms and orders so they could cast legendary spells without the threat of death.

Many of those same people were hunted for their weapons; by purists, cultists, and envious nobles alike. Those who were hunted were said to have disappeared with their weapons, and their fates are wrapped in mystery. However, most of what is known now about these weapons is considered hearsay and tales.

The ritual for casting using the Haushoch Gestirn begins with the unbinding of the blades. Gestirn blades are sealed because they are unstable, and release immense amounts of energy; more than they can generate. Gestirn blades engulf themselves in an inferno of their respective element the instant the binding is broken. It also dooms the souls housed within the blades. To clarify, the reason why the souls will be destroyed when their power is exhausted is because the soul now behaves as its' own body. The energy needed to preserve a living body is now needed to preserve the soul. The blades can only sustain themselves unbound for little longer than a minute unless energy crystals are exhausted on them. The unbound weapons must then be planted in the ground in a rounded formation to allow the crushing star to be summoned. The crushing star summon will exhaust all of the user's crystal energy; which will be added to the attack damage. The number of intact Gestirn blades when the crushing star is summoned will determine how powerful the attack is. Unlike normal magic attack calculations, this is calculated linearly. The energy pool of the Gestirn is equal to the damage it will deal to the victims. Life Gestirns are the most common variety of Haushoch Gestirns, and have the opposite effect. They can heal mortal wounds in seconds and are said to be able to revive the recently deceased. The rarest Gestirn in existence is said to be the spirit Gestirn. Its existence is debated and contested the most, but is said to be usable as a gateway to the spirit realm.

Although the weapons release seemingly uncontrolled amounts of energy, the energy is under complete control by the blades and will do you and your allies no harm... so long as the blades wish to cooperate. Make friends if you want to keep your hands.

Unbind, elemental strike, plant, crushing star
  • Dusza śnieg: A rare recurve bow crafted out of an odd, wood like soul material. The Dusza śnieg are almost all an iridescent white color. This weapon allows for the effortless infusion of energy into an arrow, but will destroy any poisons on the arrows. This bow is usable in its' sealed form this way. This weapon works best for sharpshooters when they have high enthal, but low enthal can occasionally allow an explosive elemental arrow to be fired. The enchanted arrows fired from this bow draw from the users' life force, but very little magic skill is needed to infuse the energy into the arrows.

All Dusza śnieg are said to have been crafted under the supervision of a single master marksman (Rumored to be a lord of some description) that offered his own disciples' souls as material to a soul crafter. Some of these weapons are still in circulation among nobles in elven society; though most are fakes. Unlike some other soul weapons, the souls used to craft these bows lost almost all sense of individuality. Disjointed and unfortunate rambling are all that is ever heard from these weapons, though little is recorded to suggest efforts to rectify the unfortunate effect on the souls.

The unsealing of a Dusza śnieg is called the zeszłym ciag, or final string/discharge. As the name may imply, the bow's string is cleaved to allow for the final attack to be performed. When the string is cleaved, a new bowstring formed from energy is created in its stead. The bow can then be used to fire volleys of energy based arrows. The final attack the bow can perform is called soul snow, which involves the use of an energy crystal to channel the souls of the bow into its own, final projectile. This final attack causes elemental arrows to rain down from the crystal as it bursts in a brilliant display of energy. The final attack is named soul snow because the remnants of energy that descend and dissipate after the last arrows have fallen look like snow.
    Moveset:
Nock, steady, elemental arrow, zeszłym ciag, arrow rain(after zeszłym ciag), Dusza śnieg
  • Campoferrum: A set of legendary longswords that were once the cornerstones of an alliance between seven long dead kingdoms, including the swords Firebrand, rimeshank, tenebra, illumina, trutinor, effigy, animensis. Each blade is specialized for a specific energy: heat, cold, shadow, light, gravity, spirit, and life, respectively. The blades engulf themselves and their users in a thin veil of their specialized energy when unsheathed, endowing them with an appropriate offensive and defensive elemental boost. In addition, the blades can fire explosive projectiles, by being pointed at an opponent and channeled. Like most other legendary weapons, the Campoferrum blades require no magic skill to use.

These blades were forged from the melded souls of each kingdom's champion and either a powerful magic wielding creature, or a number of elven warlocks(at least two were crafted this way). These blades are among the most stable of the legendary weapons, but are completely silent. Whether the silence is from the slow decay of the minds housed in the blades or the destruction of the minds during the crafting process is unknown. None of the blades have been unsealed, but unsealing one of these swords is easy. Unsealing a sword requires the user to destroy a gemstone set in the hilt of the blade. This will cause a jet of the swords' energy to form around the blade, removing all blade damage from their attacks, but greatly increasing its' associated elemental damage; the swords' unsealed form is called bellantum rogus, or warrior's pyre. After a sword is unsealed, a final attack called campoferrum, or plain of steel, can be performed. This attack requires the user to break the sword's blade; a second seal. When that final seal is broken, the sword's final swing will be incarnated as a massive elemental blade cleaving everything but allies for as far as 50 meters. Animensis may be used to heal, revive allies, or fuel magic attacks during bellantum rogus; the campoferrum attack for animensis may be a massive AoE heal or magical attack of a selected element. Effigy can be used to raise spirited undead(forcing a soul to link to it), channel the spirit plane to summon wraiths, and summons a portal to the spirit plane to engulf enemies in campoferrum. All of the campoferrum weapons look identical, aside from changes in coloration and the visible effects of their element.
  • Synthesalia: Unique weapons that are considered godly artifacts like the campoferrum are. Unlike the campoferrum, these weapons harness multiple elemental energies and may have additional effects unique to them. Unlike the campoferrum, these weapons are not soulforged, and while weaker, have an almost inexhaustible energy pool when accounting for the limiting components. However, the weapons aren't meant for use by normal people, so using them often causes elemental burns, or inflicts a permanent status effect called tainted soul with extended use, which changes depending on the elements it is associated with.

    1. Photaverie- A rapier coated in a distinct white fire, combining light energy and heat energy. It is hot to the touch. The weapon is rarely on one person for very long given the nature of most synthesalia, and circulates between various guilds and holy orders, in order of urgency. The time it takes to suffer elemental burns and tainted soul from this weapon is doubled.
