I would really like to make donations, but does it have to be through online? I would rather send it through mail if i get permission.

Online makes it easier for me to track benefits and prevents any issues of things getting lost in the mail and misunderstandings, etc..

It's 100x easier for me to do it all online.  Sorry.

If I (e.g.) donate 10$ now and 40$ at some point in the future, would I get the benefits of the 50$-Level when the alpha version is released?

Yes... as long as you use the same account.  I actually spent quite a bit of effort making sure that would work. Smiley
