I want an IRC chat incase people who aren't ingame and that are on the IRC I want to talk to. Like if paul isn't on the server but you want to talk to him, IRC. But if you're on your day job it'd be like "Paul|Away" Or if you're working on Mythruna "Paul|Working". This also applies to other people.  Cool

I can say that it is unlikely that I will login to IRC.

I'm already on at least three chats at any given time for other reasons (work, jMonkeyEngine, personal, etc.).  I prefer conversations on the forum and in e-mail because I can pick times to respond.  The existing chats I'm on already drain too much of my time and 80% of the time those chats aren't even anything I need to pay attention to.

I couldn't agree more... most of the conversations on a IRC tend to never have anything to do with the game it should be representing... Sad

IRC = Internet Relay Chat.  It's an ancient (in internet terms) form of internet chat that has somehow managed to survive all this time.
