Steam will be produced by applying heat to water.
Exactly. We don't need a special rock to heat water. Smiley

Coal is far better for forging steel. Burns hotter, longer, and doesn't contaminate as much. Wood does work in a pinch, though.

Though you might make a magic circuit that takes in water, heats it through magic energy conversion (like sunlight to heat or some batter to heat) and then produces steam.

The reason steam becomes kind of an interesting technological utility in these worlds is because you can produce it without a big boiler and lots of coal/wood/coke/whatever.

Coke is a fuel with few impurities and a high carbon content. It is the solid carbonaceous material derived from destructive distillation of low-ash, low-sulfur bituminous coal. Cokes from coal are grey, hard, and porous. While coke can be formed naturally, the commonly used form is man-made.

Yeah, what he said.  As I recall, the history of glass making and it's relationship with wood and coke is an interesting one.  Or I could be thinking of something else.

At any rate, it's an efficient fuel source for lots of heat.

But in Mythruna, you can create compact magic circuits that can convert different types of energy.  I suspect coal-burning will be used to generate the heat needed to make other kinds of magic... but that general heat production may use some other source.

We'll see... I don't plan to limit any of that.  Heat is heat... wherever you get it.

...and I potentially get to make some really wild areas not based on the classic terrain.
And maybe someone chooses to stay dead, and just play around in the spirit world. Would the spirit world be single-player? Would it be modifiable (digging, building)? Could you take possessions from the spirit world to the mundane world?

You would see other players... and yes possessions would be transferable.  If I can make it interesting enough then I'm sure some people would like to stay there.

Being able to build may require some special resource collection requirements.  I will not divulge more on that subject at this time.
If players wanna go to the spirit plane then there would be towers to jump of to get there and when you said defending your corpse in spirit roam does that mean your playing self invisible?

idk if this is the right place to write this post but here is it.

1. you have said that you will add dragons later in game. Mojang (minecraft) also said that they wanted to add a dragon (in the over world). but said that it would be to hard to add them.  because coding them would be very difficult. idk how experienced you are ( i think you are very GOOD) but do you think you can manage to code them? Smiley

2. i have one small problem about Mythruna NOW. can you make it easier to rotate blocks in different shapes in building and blueprint by pressing a key (on the keyboard) because i don't understand the system in the blueprint were the different rotations is placed.

3. are you planning to so that we can customize our own character? face, gender and hair colour?

4. what are you making in the game now? the meny and (??)

5. i know there will be  cows, chichens, sheeps etc.. but will ther be breeding system just like in minecraft? or more advanced??

I have an little good news for you. Smiley i was in an LAN in my town and spreading the word about this awesome game. 30 min later 30-40 people was hardcore playing mythruna. and people asked me were i found this awesome game Smiley so congrats... you have 30-40 new mythruna FANS Smiley
