These people say they are seeding the world with hatred when they are causing it. These people need to be raised better or else they might start a cult and have people killed.

There is so much that goes on these days, especially around Christmas time, where a really sarcastic "Because that's what Jesus would do." is so appropriate.

it might also be to do with the world ending... people tend to get abit more crazy when someone says the worlds ending... think of how many people comited suside before we came into the year 2000 because computers and clocks where going to stop apparently... so it might have something to do with the mayan calender ending as well ;/

The article didn't really explain what the church people were doing. Is their plan to celebrate the school shooting as a judgement of God?

All those pics you see that say "god hates gays" thats wbc

They are also the people who picket fallen soldier funnerals saying they died brcause gay people are in the world

What they were planning on doing, what Anonymous called the final straw was the church said "god sent the shooter to connecticut because connecticut passed same sex marriage"..they were going to picket the funerals of the murdered children

No, Jesus isn't vulgar. It would be something similar to throwing out the extortionists in the temple or calling out the pharisees on their lies.
If the WBC people read their Bibles (and/or cared) this wouldn't be happening. I can't really make any calls (can't see inside people), but I doubt a lot of those folks are actually saved.

I could go into details, but their anti-homosexuality strategies are based on none but the feeblest connections to the actual Bible. If they're this extreme about homosexuality, they could at least be consistent and do the same for murder, rape, theft, what have you.

These people are not - repeat, not - representing Jesus. Jesus taught (and showed how) to be kind, to love, to serve. None of which these "Christians" are doing. (I happen to be a Christian, in case you weren't sure)

Yes, in fact, the statement I make is all about turning their anti-Christian rhetoric back onto them.

Yes, in fact, the statement I make is all about turning their anti-Christian rhetoric back onto them.

And to clarify, I mean "anti-Christian" in the sense that their acts and messages are so wholly non-Christian as to cast the entire Church in a bad light.  "Non-Christian" didn't seem strong enough a damnation on its own.

I can't really express how shocked I am with this "church" guys! I must admit I didn't even knew them before, I'm not even American. However, I completly agree with the Anonymous action. I mean, some people may think that even if their "cause" (this one) is fair, the means weren't the best. However, when even the courts seem to be in favor of this guys, there's nothing else much to do.

Let's take this example: Why people can't walk naked on the streets? (the example might seem a little out-of-context, but still, the point is the same)
Because most people, perhaps the great majority would be offended with that, and as such we have to respect the others. Even if the law allows us to do not respect them, our principles should force us to. Now think, if you just lost a beloved one in the war, you're f****** sad, it's a really bad moment in your life, and when you're at his funeral, you see people around saying that the person you loved, the person you lost, was killed because God wanted so? Doesn't matter if you believe in God or not, it's like punching you in the face. Against people like these, I must say: thanks Anonymous.

It's kind of sad to see that even after so many years, that even if we consider ourselves civilized, advanced, intelligent, this speech, written and said by a comedian (Charlie Chaplin) still says all the truth about our world.

Well, sounds like wbc is starting a picket at one of the funerals today....so anonymous set up a website for everyone

http://www.OpWestboro.com/ (http://www.OpWestboro.com/)

I also heard that there will be a live streaming of the anti protest...(anonymous has many members stationed around the funeral to block the WBC from being viewed by the mourners) and in a tweet i had to laugh...."@YourAnonNews#YAN dont forget, cops are friendly to anons today, download police scanner app, and dont photo or film family or funeral, just the protest"

I'm glad that you guys, at least, can tell that much. Gives me a bit of hope for America.

That word isn't necessarily as terrible as other swears. But It's not nice if you don't like swears.

My father works in Woodbury CT as a police officer and he was on duty at the time of the funeral. He said there were around 400 people that showed up to block the view of WBC. Among the large majority of people were various biker gangs and plenty of Anonymous to block the view. Since Woodbury is such a small town, the only officers on duty were my father and some other old guy although a few state police men came to assist if necessary. There was even a federal attorney present just in case fights broke out with WBC. With the lack of cops present, the mob could have messed the church up easily and that might have been why they didn't show up in the first place. When he got home that day he emphasized how respectful everybody was toward him. If he asked a group of people to leave an area because it was private property, they all did as they were told without any hassle. It's almost too bad WBC didn't show up since they would have gotten their asses handed to them.

"Damn!" is a swear word.  You are invoking God to send someone to hell.  Not really cool.

"Damning" and "Damnation" are not swear words.  They are used in every day English.  For example: "The smoking gun was the most damning evidence in this case."

how are you saying that I am invoking The Truth? (yes, I call him 'The Truth') He knows all. There is no possible way to trick him.

Okay, thank you for letting me see 'the truth' of the word(s) Damning and Damnation, but i bet they are not appropriate for school use, I got in trouble from saying 'crap' in first hour.
