61  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Why does it seem Minecraft is stealing Mythruna ideas? on: October 05, 2011, 02:21:59 AM
It's hard to say someome is stealing ideas. And in fact I don't have a problem with the villages and stuff MC adds now.
Villages are atm ugly and useless, the wired looking villagers have no use at all. No way MC competes Mythruna's goals at this point. The added features in the releases seem to be rushed, buggy villages without inhabitants, griefing npcs etc.
No idea where MC is going, the variety of new features makes it difficult to identify the final goal and does not fix the big MC problem that it gets boring after some time playing it and tired out most features.

Mythruna has a final goal Paul wants to reach. MC added some things that were on the list of Mythruna but added loads of other stuff, too. So I personally don't think MC is stealing Pauls ideas but the lack of a concept makes it look like stealing. On the other hand I'm sure Mojang is buisy on the internet and will be inspired of other new games and concepts.

I'm not worried at all. Paul aims for a goal MC will never reach or is wanted to reach.

I dont get it that ppl have fun spamming around the server or here or whatever. Waste of time.

Your physics video was not as bad as you pretend Wink
Of course there were some bugs but movement of objects etc. looked really well. So I'm curious to watch some videos  Wink

Very nice, but one suggestion:
It could happen that the text overlaps with anotherone, so is it possible to make flags or pins or stuff and poping up the text while hovering with the mouse over them?

oh, ok thanks a buch. Now I get the idea!
65  Development / Features / Re: The Property System on: September 19, 2011, 12:03:32 AM
what are these "town city plots"? Like Quests from a town? Or some story of the town, like how old, who has founded or stuff or even town rumors with hints where to find quests?
66  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Bad function on: September 15, 2011, 04:50:19 AM
You want to kill the game on a machine?

- so what if not the owner of the game but anyone else 'absues' his game? You would kill his installation even the real owner did nothing wrong
- if an admin on a server is a moron and not the user? so the admin could use that against a user as he wants
... and so on

You should block usernames/IPs/MACs on servers and thats it. As Myhtruna will be a RPG the user loses his time spent in the charakter. Think thats enough punishment. The griefing issue is solved by the property system. So no need to get hated cause of a wired TOS paragraph.
And if Mythruna will be commercial you would destroy the copy of the game even in SP, can't imagine that as legal.
67  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Simple Script Engine [suggestion] on: September 14, 2011, 11:24:11 PM
erm his own scripting engine?
Let Paul use his time to implement awesome feature, not inventing the wheel a second time Wink

What I have in mind for a scripting engine is:
- npcs -> e.g. dialogs, behaviour, quests
- buttons/switches -> e.g. open door + enable lights + play music
- triggers -> e.g. player walks through a invisible box and triggers a trap like a stepwire
- commands -> teleport, rename location, chat, sell/buy stuff and so on

me gusta!

Great you make progress in the property issue, that will safe you tons of time of 'griefer repairs'.
Hmm surprises in work... I'm getting curious =]

69  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Crafting discussion - split from other topic on: September 05, 2011, 03:01:14 AM
I have to spend my 2 cents here.

Crafting should be a leveling ability. So you have to spend your experience to be able to make better things like certain materials, adding gems, repair at higher %...
E.g. a high level warrior travels around and starts a adventure quest or whatever. Weapons will wear off of break eventually so the warrior has to have a teammate being able to repair the highlevel euqipment. So you could implement teamplaying and clans quite easily simply by the fact that you need them. That adds tons of variety.
Just imagine a team of some warriors, a blacksmith, a medic, a salesman being able to put all the loot on the wagon his horse is pulling etc. wandering around, exploring random dungeons/forests/abandoned villages/haunted houses and stuff.
Would be awesome =)
70  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Concerning the forum. on: September 02, 2011, 12:46:34 AM
You have to keep in mind that Mythruna is in a very early stage of development.
So it has a load of awesome features but there is a lot to come.
I don't know what Paul plans to attract a greater audience and when he wants to do that.
ATM a very lot of people think of Mythruna as 'just another Minecraft clone' and don't realise that Mythruna is different and will be more and more different. I fear that videos/livetreams etc will attract more MCfanboys spamming the forum and griefing the server, that would suck.

Lets wait if Paul wants to promote now or later

I just want to help out a little so the spammers don't eat up his precious developer time.
72  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Blueprinting...... on: August 31, 2011, 11:57:52 PM
Merging miniblock-stuff to bigger miniblockstuff is a great idea Paul.
E.g. my palm trees in Atlantis consist of at least 6 miniblockcreations. Merging them would make it a lot easier to handle and you could built nearly everything then... DO WANT Cheesy
73  Player's Corner / Gallery / Re: New Block Type Samples - Hot stuff on: August 29, 2011, 05:58:01 AM
btw:
some metal stuff would be good for that. So we could build real miniblock chandeliers, fireplaces etc. stone or wood chandeliers look strange Wink
74  Player's Corner / Gallery / Re: New Block Type Samples - Hot stuff on: August 29, 2011, 01:40:55 AM
Looks very good in the fireplace but very wired at the trees.
Do you plan to let it spread like real fire?
75  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Atlantis Building. on: August 24, 2011, 06:03:56 AM
Visited Atlantis 2 days ago and the piano in my bar was gone Sad
Sadly I don't have the blueprint for it.

Afterwards I deleted tons of object spam around the city hopefully it is not spammed again.
