i like the way Starforge has been doing their random terrain. but for this kind of game blocks are not a problem
maybe once paul has all released Mythruna for a year or so, he can work on a sequal that mostly like Mythruna but without blocks... I think it would be worth doing.
StarForge looks cool. It looks like they did it properly by basically combining an isosurface engine and a block engine. It looks like they've really cranked up their FOV in a weird way to make the horizons seem farther away but it works well for this sort of game.
