Title: new player question
Post by: soulace on January 26, 2013, 06:03:40 PM
Hi all, I just found Mythruna today and tried it out, Im having a problem though, Im experiencing extreme lag, I usually run smooth on games. Is this a common issue?

If the game has crashed, post the error#######.log found in the Mythruna directory (where the .exe is). Also post the client.log (the .log files open in Notepad).

A relatively common problem is laptops that have a gaming card and a "normal" card. The game will sometimes pick the weaker card by default. Paul can give you further advice.

If you know that your laptop has two graphics card then you can check the client.log file to see if it has used the right one.  It's very common for the game to use the worse one in these cases.

There are a few things you can do to increase performance on older cards... these are covered well in other posts, I think.

Yeah, if he's on the server.  I guess that would also be a good question to ask. :)

Single player, spawn town should be plenty quick.

I keep a steady FPS in Spawn town. Nothing dangerous. Why is the FPS drop on other's so big?

On the _server_, the FPS drop in spawn town is significant.  Please specify which you mean.  If you do not get a significant FPS drop near spawn town _on the server_ then that's strange.  I get 150-200 FPS most places in the world and 30-40 FPS in spawn town _on the server_.

Spawn town in single player, I get around 230 FPS.

I always get around 20-30 fps in the server, 30-50 in single

I get 40-50 Fps in spawn town ON the server. I had to go through it to get to Future/Iggy's city. Anywhere else, I get 65-45 Fps.

What settings do you use?  Do you shorten clip?  Set low-quality?  etc...

Your results seem strange.

Default settings. Didn't touch anything when I joined (Mainly because it runs fine with everything untouched)
