Title: Help figuring out some odd blueprint?
Post by: Duff_Beer on June 23, 2015, 02:45:03 PM
I tried cloning it and it clones itself in two separate halves. top and bottom. And I cant put them together in the blueprint maker cause they are different clones.  All I can figure out is its a bunch of triangles put together with a candle on top.  Can anyone figure out how to make this?

Could have been too big for one blueprint so they made it as two separate ones.

Note: in the future it's easier for us if you us imgur.com for image sharing.  It took me 60 seconds before I could see the pic after all of the ads loaded on tinypic.

That blueprint has like 10 different parts in it... Have fun trying to clone it all. xD

I have tried using imgur on my screenshots.  They are too big. The website wont allow me to upload them and I don't know how to make them any smaller.

Its yours isn't it?

And its not hard to clone it all.  I have already done that except for the candle which it doesn't seem to want me to clone. it just keeps cloning the grey blocks over and over again.  Its the matter of combining the two major grey blocks. It clones the already intact grey squares but it clones them separately so I cant exactly overlay them like in the picture.  I am hoping someone can help me figure out how to fix that issue or some one that knows how I can make the thing from one of the grey blocks I have and add the rest from scratch.  Too many different triangle shapes. I cant figure it out.

Weird.  I use them all the time and never had this issue.  How big are your screen shots?  You are using the ingame screen cap and not Windows's prt-scrn to bmp right?

The dresser has separate blueprints for the body, drawers, and the drawer knobs. The candle should be comprised of four parts, the two cubes that form its' base, the candle, and the handle. I really can't explain to you how to reconstruct it, though.

I was mainly referring to the odd shaped stone base and the candle on top of it but wow... I didn't realize the whole thing was that complicated.
And I guess it explains why the dresser looked so incomplete when I cloned it.

I don't suppose you would understand how to construct the dresser at least, would you?
I just managed to clone all the separate pieces but as far as I know you cant attach multiple different blueprints together.  Or I haven't figured it out yet.

If you mean am I using the screenshot button in-game, yes. it is F2 on my keyboard.

Ok so I figured out how to create the object. you have to materialize each blueprint and slide them together like a puzzle.  they wont go together in the blueprint mapping stage.

Now I have another blueprint that I am confused about.  This one I am more unsure of which piece to use.  I was somehow able to fully copy a big chunk of a stone bridge and I am trying to make the floorboards into wood but I cant seem to figure out which type of wood block to use. None of them seem to fit in correctly. I am hoping someone can help me figure this out.

http://i.imgur.com/iHbmlw0.jpg   <<<omg!! one of my screenshots that actually loaded and didn't tell me it was too big!!

Also I would like to know how to make the camp fire and tent in your ad. I don't know what Im doing wrong but the tent I made looks nothing like the one in your ad.

The equivalent wood would be the lower wood planks... but note: they are thinner than stone.  At least if the bridge is made from slabs.  Hard to tell.

re: the tent, it's just thatch and some wood posts.  Pretty sure there is one near the initial spawn point on the server.

Yeah I figured out the tent. I was just putting the posts in the wrong spots.

And thanks, I wasn't aware about the wood to stone ratio.  That makes things seem a lot less confusing now.
I guess the bridge floor will just have to be lower.

Ooh and the coordinates are 1654.10 X -245.52.  Some really awesome traditional Japanese home someone made.
Wish they would come on here and tell us how they made it. Its awesome.

I already did. :P (http://mythruna.com/forum/index.php?topic=1774.msg16239#msg16239)

All I can say is that blueprints only collide with blocks. There is no how-to for large blueprint building.

Ohh you made it? I borrowed your bridge design and tweaked it a bit.  Ummm, I'm curious, how did you make the outhouse?

That and the shelf of stuff in the entryway of the house. the water basin with the sticks in it did not fully clone so I can only guess the water basin and the sticks are separate and I cannot figure out how to put them together.

Oh and also, you should check out what I am building underneath it at the bottom of the sea.

... I'm not quite sure I want you building under my shrine, for obvious reasons.

I can't tell you how all the blueprints fit together because I'd end up spending more time explaining how to build them than it took to actually build them.

When all else fails, the answer can simply be, "Very carefully."

That's also the punchline to a joke about mating porcupines.  Good advice in general.

Well no worries, its not directly under you. Its off to the side a few feet. Maybe a yard. There is no possibility of it colliding with yours if that's what your worried about.

Also, for anyone that's interested in checking out the Japanese shrine I feel its worth pointing out someone made a giant skyscraper sized toilet towering against the skyline right near it.  Hilarious!!
