I would like to try it myself. But wouldn't the sweet flavor get annoying? And by that, I mean after eating it so many times you don't like the taste anymore.
I don't think it tastes exactly like cake, just similar. Rob did mention that when he changed the recipe to include oats (for fiber; before that, he wasn't pooping: read the "global implications" section), it toned down the sweetness, which he thought was an improvement. If you'd like to try some, the link in the original post goes to the CrowdFunding site, where you can preorder it: $65 for a week's supply that you'll get in August. (Make sure you've bought Mythruna first. ) The price will come down once they're established.

perhaps this could be some kind of astronaut food or a zombie preppers emergency food supply. Either way it's cool stuff but I could never give up real food.
Yeah. One of the coolest things is you don't have to. Maybe you just keep a few meals' worth around in case you get really rushed. Or, more like I see myself doing, mainly eat Soylent and eat food on special occasions.

Have any of you guys been following the development of Soylent? It started out with Rob, a computer programmer, wanting to make food more efficient. He bought a biochemistry book, sourced some ingredients, and made a drink (I imagine something like the consistency of eggnog, but it tastes like cake batter, apparently) out of them. Lived off of that for three months to refine the recipe, got some volunteers to help him test it with different body types, and just a few days ago launched a crowdhoster campaign. Any thoughts on this?

***** is quantum computing?
Like Acoustic said, it uses the quantum states of electrons (complicated stuff) to store information, allowing systems to run on at least a trinary base. (Current computers run on binary, 1 or 0, on or off. An upgrade to trinary would increase storage capacity and possibly processing power by 50%) It might be more than a 50% power increase, I haven't learned much about quantum states.

Development / Concepts / Re: Mythruna "Story"

Mythruna could simply be an alternative universe that the occasional Earthling is teleported into by means of a ring, a wardrobe, a storybook, or a dream. These people could be from whatever time period you could think of, from Ancient Mesopotamia to the Modern USA. Humans would not be native inhabitants of Mythruna, but other species, including dwarves, elves, catpeople, etc., will be native. Because so many different cultures intermingle in Mythruna, there will be vast varieties of architecture, transportation, and culture in general. Time will not be consistent with Earth time in Mythruna. Maybe even inversely proportional. So in the distant future in Earth Time, Mythruna will be forming. But at the time of the Earth's formation will be Mythruna's destruction. Maybe Mythruna, as an alternate universe to that of ours, is almost like a mirror; everything backwards on the time spectrum. But idk.
Oh yeah, and organisms live a lot longer there; our life expectancy on Earth is approximately 80 years. But on Mythruna, because it is a more suitable environment for harboring life than Earth, maybe the perfect amount of Solar Radiation, our life expectancy would be 2000 years.
Someone~ is a fan of Clive Staples Lewis. ... And are you hypothesising that the only reason we don't live to be multi-millenial beings is an imperfect quantity of solar radiation..? As opposed to Neural decay and occasional errors in our genetic makeup? Lol I am definitely a fan of C.S. Lewis, as well as Tolkien. What kind of fantasy author would I be if I weren't inspired by their works? An author? PM me if you'd like to show me some of your work.

In our programming class we learned basically how to trying create spacewar. Including gantt charts and design basically, the last 4 weeks were dedicated to our own games
Heh, I have decided to cut from 20 rooms to 10, I already have 700+ lines of code, I will post the game, and the src code tomorrow, and I may also switch it to the format that Paul gave (if I feel like it, I may just test it out to understand it). I think my survivor header file and. Cpp file had almost 1000 lines themselves If you keep this "lines of code" contest going, Paul might just show up and shame you all.

ok but i hope the mini games arent too long
It should take a long time to create something metal. Assuming you run through all the steps yourself, you have to smelt the ore, forge the blanks, run the metal through multiple temperatures and tempering, etc.. This is not a "click 5 times to make a sword" sort of game. i just hope it won't take an in game week to make 10 stock of swords for a sword shop In real life, if a skilled miner/smelter/smith were to make a sword alone, it would take months. If a smith were to buy iron stock, it would still take at least a few days to make a low-quality sword on your own. In other words, it should take longer than a week to make ten swords (on your own. If you were working as a team it would certainly be possible).

so it's the thing like a house for sale sign I take it right?
I'm building there I think so it must not be claimed... maybe I ran a bit away and now I start there every time so who knows!
When you come back on, you start at the same spot you were at when you left.
