Title: Game launch closes

When i try single player clicking on launch the game closes.
Heres the log

Sorry you are having problems.  This problem should happen in multiplayer, too... and if it doesn't that would be useful information.

Even though you've left it out, I can tell that you must have a particular subset of ATI graphics card.  For some reason, the ATI driver writers never saw fit to provide a useful error message.

Others have also experienced this error but I have trouble tracking down what the problem is because the error that comes back from the driver provides no useful information. 

I think a few people have gotten past it by making sure their drivers are up to date.  That information was also clipped from the pasted info so I can't tell what version you are running but it's worth a try to make sure you have the latest.

I really wish I knew what the issue was because it bothers me that some of you can't play because of it.

It doesnt wok in multiplayer

For the record, can you tell me which graphics card you have?

Someday maybe I will find someone with one of these cards near enough to do some trial-and-error style debugging.

If it's any consolation... it makes me sad, too.

Looks like I can pick up one of those cards used for around $10.  So maybe I will someday and do some experiments when I have a machine I'm willing to put an ATI card into.

Just in case, can you tell me the exact "brand" of your Radeon?  Like, what it would have said on the box.  Or is it a Dell OEM or an HP OEM or something?

I didn't mean literally, necessarily.  I thought you might remember.

A dell OEM or hp OEM means that it just came in the machine when you bought it from Dell or HP.  If your machine is not a Dell or HP then it isn't one of those cards.

If I was going to try to buy one used, I was just going to try to get as close to the same kind as possible.  That's why I wanted to know.  I'm more familiar with nVidia, though... where you might have five different companies produce a "GTX 460".  ATI/AMD may produce their own cards, I guess.

Pop your pc open and look for the brand name on the graphics card :)
