These new flames definitely make it look more dramatic. How far out does the light from flames propagate? Is it shorter than magic lights? It just seems a bit short to me.
I should just stop uploading lighting videos to youtube. No matter how many times I say that youtube makes them a bunch darker... no one notices I say that. Or they don't believe how bad it is. The flames propagate out slightly farther than the old flames did... which was always shorter than the magic lights which are really bright in comparison. The picture is a better indicator than the video... and I'll be posting a release to Friends of Mythruna soon for others to try. Then proper criticism can be leveled. Very well. I was trying to mentally compensate for YouTube, but it's difficult...

I think a style like this will fit Mythruna better than the other ones. Even if it were a realistic-graphics game, those flames were too yellow for most fires.
Edit: after watching the stock videos of fire on the jmonkey forums, I think what bothers me is that the flames were too clean wnd well-defined. But then I haven't been spending hours slaving over the appearance of fire, so suffice it to say that the samples you have here look more like I would expect fire to be in Mythruna that the other ones.

Technically, that would be cracking, would it not? Hacking is modifying something, but cracking is specifically trying to break through security measures.

I like the effort you made to keep it consistently visible; a lot of games lack that.
How can you tell which orientation you have selected? Especially for the quarter-block pillars, how will you know which corner it's in?

Third, and not sure if it's new but Congrats to Ben for moderator lol
That may be new.. CONGRADULATIONS BenKenobiWan It was fairly recent, and thanks! I didn't want to make a hullabaloo about it by making a "yay me" thread, but in any case I promise to be nice and not abuse my powers (my account being hacked doesn't count).

will survival mode be finished this summer?
Probably not. the lack of anything besides build mode is probably why people are getting board I can only do what I can do. And you're doing great. ebag, it is hard for everyone to realize how much the extra work being put in now is helping the rest of the game in the future. i was board other people were board i addressed the boredom sorry if i sounded mean, paul is making progress Nonono, I wasn't criticizing you. I was sympathizing.

I used to have BullDog (safe by microsoft confirmation) it thought mythruna was malware.
Well, Mythruna will suck your life away and make you want to give away large amounts of money, so it might not be so wrong.

Thanks for the update! Does this mean that the lighting will be somewhat faster, more flexible client-side, and more realistic?
