Title: Speaking of desktop backgrounds... Post by: pspeed on March 11, 2013, 12:24:19 AM When I can properly toggle the HUD completely off, I may go back here and snap a proper hi-res desktop background.

The blocks you see underwater looks like a reflection of the land.(http://i.imgur.com/DtWKmuB.jpg) Title: Re: Speaking of desktop backgrounds... Post by: pspeed on March 11, 2013, 03:21:48 PM The blocks you see underwater looks like a reflection of the land. Yeah, I thought so too. In point of fact, it shows that I need to add a refractive index to the water shader so that you can't see those formations underwater. a) it's unrealistic in this case, b) it unnecessarily shows how the local terrain chops off arbitrarily. Edit: I wonder if you even know what it's like :) Whether you can see the bottom of a body of water largely depending on angle of view also. Angle + "mirkiness". In the bahamas you can see pretty clearly at a lot of angles... but not at a such an oblique one as this. When the terrain is properly updated with world changes it will be in batches.
