Mythruna

Chapter. 1
Fred was a lumber jack in a human village. His normal day consisted of gathering wood to trade to the rest of the town to use as firewood for food and stuff, but also to use as firewood for himself. One day in the morning while leaving his cabin on the outskirts of town he say a strange sight: an elf using fire magic to burn down the town. At first his first goal was to kill him but then he saw all the burnt bodies around him and the fear factor out weighed the need to protect his town. So he decided to go into the woods for a normal day of chopping wood but not before noticing that the elf was spouting something he did no under stand: "Trololololol". So with that he went into the woods and chopped some wood as usual. After returning he found the entire town burned down including his cabin. Although he wanted to rebuild it was getting dark and his tiredness factor was very high so he slept on the floor of his burned down cabin. When he woke up half the forest was burned down. And so via luck Fred became the last survivor of his village burdened with the task of rebuilding.

I should write a short story.

TLDR: Fred watches an elf burn down his village and doesn't even flinch.

Chapter. 2

A few days after his village was destroyed Fred was already almost done rebuilding his house. He'd been living off of mostly berries because his skill set comprised of only wood cutting construction and a little cooking. When returning home with more lumber for his house he saw a young female simian milling around the ruins of his village.

"Who are you," he asked.

"Koko," she responded.

"Where did you come from," he asked.

"It was the strangest thing, tree top home town was burned down by an elf of all people," She explained, "While spouting 'trololol' for some reason"

"Wanna help me rebuild my village?" Fred inquires.

"Sure," she responds. "Just no elves I can't understand those hypocritical tree lovers."

 Unbeknown to both of them was that that elf was actually a player, an extra dimensional being visiting their word for better or for worse. So with that Koko went off to gather the other simian survivors to help Fred rebuild the village.

Chapter. 3

  It has been two weeks since Fred met Koko and with several new npc additions to the town it is coming close to being fully rebuilt. Little do they know that the server has now been opened to multiplayer so more mysterious players are soon to arrive. As well as the other Simian survivors from Koko's village a few more humans and avians have joined as well. Although a few elves did turn up Koko insisted they shouldn't be let into the village.

   Fred has been more busy than ever with all the construction chopping down tens of trees everyday to meet the demands of the construction. One mourning just before Fred left for work chopping down trees he was stopped by a simian he hadn't seen in the village before.

    "Want some help chopping down trees," he offered.

    "Sure, you got an axe?" He asked.

    "Yes," he replied equipping an axe.

    And so after a more productive day chopping wood with the simian he asked Fred, "Will you sign this petition?"

    Now this was a strange question, no one had ever asked Fred to sign a petition before. Deciding to trust this seemingly reliable simian he signed the petition. Unknown to him was that this mysterious simian was a player and that petition was for him to become ruler of the town. Will this new player be good or evil? Only time will tell.


   

Wow man, Fred couldn't even bother to read what the petition pertained to. Shame on him.

Not that town.  A petition is what you would need to start a brand new town.

Fred. You let your other town get burned down and now you sign a petition blindly?! He's just like, letting things happen without caring.

Heheh... he's an NPC.  Could be pretty accurate. :)

The old town wouldn't have gone away just because the buildings were destroyed.  It's still there and protected or whatever... but now I'm starting to mess up your story.

this story was suppose to express what i think npcs will be like in the ACTUAL game

ok then please tell me how would a player take over an already existing town?

I don't know if they can.  If possible then it would be a "working your way up" sort of thing.

Chapter. 4

  A few days had passed since the mysterious player had arrived who came to be known as ebag51 and already almost the entire village liked him. Fred had become good friends in the several weeks hes known her with Koko and was on his way to her tree house to spend some quality time with her.

 "Hello Koko," Fred greeted.

  "Hi please come in," Koko replied, "Come see this new bed i made."

  After entering Koko's tree house he discovered that she did in fact have the furniture crafting skill. "This is a lovely bed," Fred complimented.

 "Thank you i spent three days making it," responded Koko.

 After eating a few apples Koko had picked from the tree and talking Fred left to go back to his cabin. On his way back Fred saw an avian from the village shouting "Everyone come to the town center for a meeting about our new leader ebag51!"

  So Fred and Koko went to the town center to see what would happen at the meeting.....

Chapter. 5

   The entire village was at town center. Most of them didn't see what the point of the meeting was and why they couldn't just continue their peaceful npc lives. The mysterious simian player started speaking.

 "As you all remember you are refugees from the evil carnage of what has become to be known as the evil trolololollol empire," said ebag51.

  While most of them remembered their old towns being destroyed they had never heard of the evil trololololol empire, "How do you know about this evil forces name?"  one simian npc asked.

   "I have my sources," ebag51 said suspiciously, "Their leader is an evil elf emperor called shawn342 and he plans on conquering this entire wold!"

   Just as he finished that sentenced an avian who had never been seen in the village before flew in exclaiming, "Help! my camp was attack by pantherians waving banners for a 'trololololol' empire please if they come this way they will kill us!"

  The player simian answers, "See i told you now everyone out of the village to the opposite side that avian flew in from."

   And so they all did as instructed and the pantherian mercenaries left thinking it was just a deserted town.

  After they all returned to the town ebag51 quite full of himself said, "See you can trust me, now i have a chart for everyone's tasks to prepare for when they do find us."

   After this display of leadership the entire village agreed that ebag51 should become leader and thus he was promoted to leader of their village. As to how he knew about the trololololol empire shawn342 had bragged about in the player only chat. And so Fred stood in line to see what his task was o the chart.

Everyone realized they needed a leader suddenly. At least they want a leader, instead of going commando.

(insert Fry meme here) "Wonder if he means what he's really saying with 'commando'..."

I have decided from this point on to make this thread a little more interactive. Since the hypothetical server Fred is in is open to multi player you can now post in this thread what you would like to do with Fred (this story is following his npc life after all).

  So post your submission on what you would like to do with Fred and i will probably include it in the next chapter.  :)

should be more like : an fire elf using fire magic, for what fred did not know at the time so he cared not to bother the elf with his questions so he headed into the forest for the usuals days work chomping wood and maby collect berries or wild animals for more money or more food.

how about ebag51  recruits fred to be his right hand man (since fred did build the town basicly) and ebag51 trains him to dual weld to wood cutting axes to help defend the town( i thought thats would fit in becouse he is a lumber jack)

american YOUR character would be the one to enter the story and teach him dual wielding wood cutting axes (you are joining the hypothetical server in doing so) and i supose i could eventually have him as my right hand man lol

Chapter. 6

  Fred being a lumberjack was given the assignment of gathering wood for the soon to be built battlements of the town. After delivering a shipment of wood around noon three days after the meeting Fred decided to see what Koko was doing at her training exercises. Recently the simian leader of the village had enlisted the help of a human npc named Carn to teach some of the villagers the proper one handed sword stances. When Fred arived to where Koko was training he saw her practicing her resting stances albeit a bit clumsily.

  "Hi, how are you doing?" Fred asked.

   "Ok, practicing to kill some evil elves," Koko replied.

  "What will you do when the war is over?" Fred asked.

  "Start a furniture shop probably," Koko answered.

  After saying fair well to Koko Fred made his way home. On his way home he was stopped by an avian he had never seen before.

  "If your going to defend this village you will need to learn how to fight," said the avian stranger.

  "I'm more needed as a lumberjack ad Carn says he has no more room in his class for any new students," replied Fred.

   "Then i'll show you how to duel wield axes," said the avian taking out two axes.

   After showing Fred the stances he said, "Practice those and if you need to you will be able to protect this village." After saying this he handed Fred an axe.

  "Before you go what is your name?" Fred asked.

  "TheAmericono," he said leaving.

   Again little did Fred know that this mysterious avian was also a player an extra dimensional being. And with that Fred practice for the conflicts the not too distant future held.

This is just getting more magical by the minute.

nice but i think it would be more sutable for a big warrior to tech him the ways of dual axes rather than a small bird

Well, there aren't really any big avians.  5 ft is probably average to tall. 

...and it would be _extremely_ rare to find one that would wield dual axes... and I guarantee that it's because he can't fly anymore.  May not even have wings.  (Who knows what crazy things a grounded avian will do to survive.)

A flight-capable avian will generally wear light leather armor (if any armor at all) and wield short bows or slings, and maybe a dagger or short sword (no more than 2 feet long or so).  Probably not all at the same time.  It's all about the weight.  Light leather armor for an avian bowman (since he will make a stationary target while aiming).  Probably no armor for a sword-wielding warrior who might choose a small leather buckler and helmet instead.

Dual-wielding would be _extremely_ rare since it limits what they can carry and fight/flight.  Obviously player-characters can do what they want within the weight limits but I suspect a player-avian will already be managing weight pretty carefully just so that they can carry anything in their backpack and still fly.

That's the downside to flight capability... weight is your constant enemy.

(It would be cool to have 'weight gain' from eating too much... then I could make avians have to watch what they eat, too. :))

Yes, but you will still have to deal with the reality that if you want to fly then you can only carry so much weight... and two axes probably puts you over.

Yea, it would be dangerous to carry too much since birds have hollow bones.

they are usually delayed by either me being lazy or thinking up more plot line for next chapter
i got idea for next chapters plot already thought out but i busy today and it takes time for me to agree with my self on the exact details on what i wanna put in a chapter

Chapter. 7

   A few days had passed since Fred had met the mysterious avian who taught him duel axe wielding. He had found time to practice the stances for it on his down time when he wasn't chopping wood, eating food, or sleeping. While he was practicing that day a screaming human npc came through the village crying, "Pantherians are attacking!"

   After hearing this he rushed to the battlements along with all the other villagers trained in combat. Fed decided to wait for the battlements to fall because he had a moderate fear factor or combat. While he was doing this some of the other villagers climbed the battlements in order to stop the pantherians from climbing over. After ten minutes of waiting the pantherians were over.

   Fred was was able to surprise attack one of the pantherians coming down the battlements and used is combat stances to combo him to death. All around him now the sword and spear wielding pantherian soldiers were battling the sword wielding villagers. Suddenly Fred was lunged at by a pantherian wielding a spear. He was almost able to doge and the spear nicked him not doing enough damage to kill him. Then Koko came up behind the pantherian and comboed him the death using her sword stances. After that Fred attacked another pantherian who had just comboed an avian village to death while making a comment on how he was gonna barbeque him up later. Fred comboed the avian hungry Pantherian to death. After that he went head to head against an already injured pantherian just killing him just in time before the pantherian landed the blow that would have killed him.

   Fred looked around the battle was over and their simian leader was still alive. They had lost half their troops but they had won. They now had to deal with the burden of recovering from the aftermath. 

This story is a whole new kind of special, I feel.

compared to the stories paul posted in the character stories thread is i make it more evident in the tone that it is a game and how elements in the game like npc motives and skills factor into it

also i am flattered you think it is that good i originally made this thread as a unique way to express my understanding about how npc will think

Chapter. 8

 Of the survivors of the battle only three of them were uninjured whether it be though skill or cowardice; ebag51, Carn, and a human npc named Joe. The rest of the survivors were all injured to some degree. Half of the avian survivors were now flightless and the other half wouldn't be flying for awhile.

   After treating all of the survivors ebag51 appointed Fred to be one of his lieutenants along with Carn because of his uncommon dual axe wielding stances and his kill count rivaled Carn's. That night ebag51 called them both to town center for a military meeting.

   "We won't survive another attack like that," stated Carn.

   "I know that is why tomorrow we are going to enlist the help of some reptilians my avian friend, theamericono has just found," ebag51 replied, "I will be taking one of you with me to go on a trip to meet up with him and befriend those reptilians so they will help us in our fight against the Evil Trololololol Empire. Tomorrow i will decide which of you come with me and which one of you will stay here and command our defending forces."

  So with that Fred went to sleep in his cabin uncertain about what tomorrow would bring.

Announcement:

   I will now be taking votes on whether you want Fred to go with ebag51 to befriend the reptilians or stay at the village and defend it. The outcome of this voting will decide the content of the next few chapters.

Let him go with ebag and the reptilians to keep the story progressing.

I'm sure the reptilians would love to have you over for dinner... or lunch... or a late breakfast...  ;)

While reading the story I couldn't help but think "What were ebag51's parents thinking when they named him that?"

ebag51 is an extra dimensional being in a simian body being controlled by a mythruna user who picked the name ebag51 for his character. Also I'm not sure if the extra dimensional beings in mythruna have parents you would have to ask paul. 

i should have my kid have a 1 in his name lololol how would the singnuter for a check look lolol  and let him go to the reptiles

Chapter. 9

   After he got woke up the next day Fred went with Carn to go meet up with ebag51 back at the town center. After they were all there ebag51 made his decision.

   "Fred will be coming with me to the near by desert to try to get the reptilians to help us, his uncommon dual axe wielding stances will probably come in handy," ebag51 explained, "Carn you will stay here and command the town defenses, you are a good enough leader to do that."

   With that decided ebag51 and Fred gathered up some supplies for the journey from the village store houses. They packed mostly precooked salted chicken, which was the village's primary farm animal currently and water for the trip. As they left shawn342 announced in the player only chat that he had finally finished building his evil empire's first airship. Little did Fred know that right after they left wood takwins attacked the village

   On their way to the desert they encountered no hostile animals and only ever rarely sighted prey animals. When they arrived met theamericono in the desert what looked like part of a reptilian village could be seen in the distance.

   theamericono flew down to the ground and greeted them, "Hello ebag51 and Fred! Hopefully now with you here the reptilians will no listen to us instead of attempting to eat me."

     Before them now stood the challenge of trying to get the reptilians to ally with them.

   Would you guys like me to make a side story about a human npc named Joe mentioned in chapter 8? It would be in the same world as Fred. Finally it would have a love interest for Joe who is HUMAN and also explain more about the human npc Carn.

Sure, I don't really care what direction this story goes, it's not like I'll stop enjoying it :P

Chapter. 10

    Negotiations with the reptilians didn't go very well. Even with ebag51 and Fred's help they still weren't able to convince the reptilian leader Zark to help them defeat the Evil Trololololol Empire. Their requests were only met with threats and and attacks that they only barely managed to get away from.

   "Now stay out of our village you filthy outsiders!" Zark shouted as they left.

  Right before they started to head back home an airship flew over the reptilian and the faint sound of someone shouting 'Trololololol' could be heard in the air. It was shawn342 in is newly constructed airship. A strange glow came from the ship as shawn342 and some of his apparently magic adept followers preformed a magic ritual. Then all of a sudden lighting rained down from the sky destroying most of the surface reptilian village buildings and killing many reptilians. Fred watched one reptilian screaming in terror while running away and then get hit by a lighting bolt turning him into a smoldering pile of ashes. After reaping so much destruction the airship left as shawn342 went 'Trololololol' as the ship went into the horizon.

   "Those murderous bastards in that airship killed half my people!" Zark grieved.

   "Help us and you will have your revenged," ebag51 promised.

   "Ok, if it means getting our revenge on those murderers we will help you," agreed Zark.

   With that Zark readied two battalions of reptilian warrior class soldiers armed with swords, knives, daggers, poisons, and scimitars. When they were all ready they proceeded back to Fred's village to come up with a plan to defeat the Evil Trololololol Empire.   
   

Now I want a magic airship....  ;D

Chapter. 11

    When ebag51, theamericono and the reptilians arrived at Fred's village a quarter of the builders looked like they were destroyed by lighting bolts. When ebag51 asked one of the villagers what had happened he said that right after they left weird gollums made out of wood attacked the village but with Carn lading their few remaining troops they managed to destroy them all. After that an airship appeared and destroyed a quarter of their buildings and killed Carn. It also mortally wounded Koko who was still barely alive.

     After hearing this Fred immediately went to where Koko was laying and tried to wake her. She was in the state of death where her body and soul linger before ascending. Fred sobbed.

    "Please don't die," Fred cried.
   
    Then theamericono arrived and put his hand to Koko and a bright shining light appeared and healed Koko's wounds. Fred was stunned by this feat because he thought only elves could use personal magic. Little did he know that because theamericono was a player it enabled his avian body to use magic components.

     After he made sure Koko was ok Fred made a goal to confront theamericono about his mysterious power.

Chapter. 12

      That night Fred went to ebag51's house. It was uncommonly different from the normal npc house architecture, but Fred was not concerned about that. His suspicions were directed at theamericono's mysterious magic powers. He knocked on the door and ebag51 let him in.

      "What do you need Fred?" ebag51 asked.

      "I heard theamericono is staying here can I talk to him and you?" Fred inquired.

      "Sure," said theamericono, "Come inside."

      After coming inside Fred asked, "How were you able to heal Koko?"

      ebag51 said sighing, "Fred can you keep a secret like from the whole village other wise we can't tell you."

      "Hmmm, ok," Fred conceded.

      "Ok," started ebag51, "Me, theamericono and even the evil Trololololol emperor shawn342 are extra dimensional beings called players. We act differently from other beings of our races and most of us posses personal magical powers. Now keep this a secret."

       "Ok," said Fred going back to his cabin. With that Fred now knew the truth about ebag51, theamericono and shawn342.

      The next day shawn343 posted in the player only chat that he was bored and it was time for a big battle so ebag51 readied all their soldiers to set off. When Fred asked where they were going he responded they were going to recruit some elven allies then go destroy the evil Trololololol empire. With that they set off on what would be Fred's final journey.

     

       

Chapter. 13

    While traveling through the forest to shawn342's empire ebag51 and Zark's troops came upon an elven village. When they entered it ebag51 and Zark went to negotiate with the elven leader.

    While waiting for the negotiations to finish Koko warned , "If those hypocritical elves join us I'm leaving."

     Not wanting Koko to leave Fred felt like he had to tell her the truth. So he took her away from the other troops and told her the secret of the players.

     "I can't believe it," said Koko, "So that elf that attacked my village wasn't from our dimension?"

     "Yes," Fred answered. With that Koko agreed to fight along side the elves.

     After the negotiations were finished ebag51 announced that the elven leader Malakiay the elves would help them destroy the destructive shawn342 and his evil empire. The elves supplied them with a platoon of elf magic users. After a few more days travel they arrived at a fortress that oddly enough had its gate open. Its was like shawn342 wanted the battle to begin. So they all charged into what would be Fred's final battle.

Spoiler alert, Fred's gonna die.

Am I the only one who noticed that inconsistency?

Am I the only one that finds it odd that everyone's fine with meeting beings from another dimension?
I mean, if someone walked up to you and said.. "Ya, I'm from another dimension here to fight interdimentional aliens and to keep them from destroying the universe" you'd find that a bit odd, yes?

Chapter. 14

    Right after ebag51's forces rushed through the gate shawn342 greeted them, "ebag51 and thearemicono you finally made it, now lets fight!" Right after he said this he launched a fireball at ebag51 and theamericono's troops.

   Fred was lucky to not be in the way of the fireball, but Koko was not so lucky. Right before Fred charged into battle he noticed Koko's burnt body. He immediately went to see if she was still alive. He found most the fur singed off here body and she was barely breathing.

   "Good bye, Fred," gasped Koko as she died.

    "Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!" Fred cried as he clutched her body,"shawn342 I'm going to kill you!"

   And so Fred rushed across the chaotic battle field cutting down three pantherians in his path to get to shawn342. When he arrived he was standing next to Makiay and Zark.   

    "Lets just make this between us," said shawn342 to ebag51 and thearmericono as he threw a fireball at Fred Malakiay and Zark.

   As Fred lied dying he saw theamericono distract shawn342 with fireballs of his own while ebag51 went in for the finishing combo with his sword. And thus shawn342 died.

  It was fortunate for Fred's eternal slumber that he did not know that shawn342 would soon return from the spirit plain and reek more havoc on his world. For if he knew this he would not have been able to rest in peace. And so the war of the extra dimensional players seemed only to bring chaotic destruction to their world. And that my fellow extra dimensional mythrunians is the story of A human npc named Fred.

Pretty much sums up my feelings when reading it ;)
