Mythruna

This is a simple forum game... Because this forum is deathly silent. The objective of the game is to cleverly turn the wish of the person above you into a nightmare without actually changing the wish, and then make a wish of your own.

There is a generally accepted syntax for this game.

Granted, but _____.

I wish _____.

So, if someone wishes for Nyan Cat... This would be an acceptable response.


An unacceptable response to the above wish would be:


Completely changing a wish is not allowed, but changing specific aspects is allowed.

I wish I knew how to code.

Note: there are still people who check the forum regularly for various definitions of "regular".  Until I start really active development again I think some people just check once a week or every few days or so.

I wish I found Mythruna three years ago.

Three years ago was a fun time.  Everything was brand new and rapidly evolving.  I think it was July that I finally put the Entity System in, in fact.

Two years ago plus a little over a week was the last public release.  That makes me sad.  Normally I'd have written a post about it but I couldn't think of anything uplifting to say.  I'm going to wait until I have some positive Mythruna-related news before I mention it in a blog post, I think.

Hey, I'd say things are starting to look up. The forum, if nothing else, is alot more lively than when I first showed up. It sure as hell didn't take an update to reign everyone in. If you can't muster an update, just make sure to stimulate the community in other, less intensive ways, like this forum game or community building.

Speaking of which... I have an idea...

One that may help with the population issue.

I wish I found Mythruna three years ago.

Last public update was 20120627.... June 27, 2012.  So just a little over two years.

Worse yet, I think I spent the entire anniversary working on day-job related stuff trying to catch up on something.

Granted, but it would have been in its first developmental stages at that point. First release (I believe) was February 2011.

Ah yes, I forgot about that, thanks. When I first learned that, I was told to use cin.get(), but I'd rather use system("PAUSE"); because it waits for a key press in general. :)

yup, i still like c++ because you can do so much with it, but at the same time it takes a lot longer to program anything and that means more bugs/errors

I wish that Paul will buy a XenForo license one day, and use that for his forums, or even his whole website. :)

ive watched every episode once already, granted the ending wasnt the greatest but it was an ending, and it made sense when you take a step back and look at it.

Granted, but attempting to track player movement without using timers, fetching the user's location, and comparing the distances causes the player's client to crash.

I wish chunk loading didn't cause immense lag spikes for me.

Granted, but it was at the cost of buying a new computer.

I wish for YouTube fame.

If lowering your clip doesn't help then it's probably not the chunk loading causing the lag spikes.  If this is in network play then it could be a variety of things.  (Note: even if lowering your clip _does_ help then it still might not be chunk loading causing the issue... for example, if you ever get lag while turning your head without moving then it's a graphics card issue.)

Granted, but you can only become famous from Mythruna let's plays... and all the praise gets deferred to Paul.

I wish for the earth to turn into the Breach; A planet who's southern pole faces it's system's star at all times.
