You get to choose when the world ends and how. What do you choose?

The year is 2015. Obama's presidency is nearing an end. The only problem is that who is to be any better. Reports on the news, all across the country. The nation is at war. Death on every corner, on every street. The markets are robbed of food, and people are leaving town. A gunfire is shot, and a man falls cold and dead. Someone get a hold of military technology, and fire off missiles at places like Iran and Iraq. We are at war, we are at civil and world war. We shelter as a family, surviving months on end. But to no prevail, the human race kills itself.

The world ends on the year 6666, on June 6th. On that day, earth collapses from core mining operations effectively hollowing the planet; leaving it to collapse in on itself. Colonization efforts leave much of humanity unscathed, most not caring much of the barren rock's fate. After all, it was no home of theirs.
