Title: Burning Horizons
Post by: Rayblon on July 28, 2015, 05:42:54 PM
This might just be an issue on my end, but I've noticed that my computer heats up alot more than usual when Mythruna is playing. I know that because it goes from sounding like a car to a jet engine after a few minutes... Any explanation as to why this occurs? It only happens with Mythruna, which is the concerning part.

Do you run with vsync enabled or not?  What is your CPU usage looking like while you play?

No vsync and 20% cpu usage... and that's with Twitch open and a bunch of other stuff... It fixes itself 1-2 minutes after Mythruna closes/crashes

I turned on vsync and I think it might have helped... a little.

vsync off = "render this as fast as you can even if you are throwing away a bunch of frames" = graphics card works harder if you are rendering better than 60 FPS.

vsync on = "only render what will actually be displayed"

Yeah, I think vsync fixed it. I guess more heat is to be expected when running without vsync.
