Title: A question about jumping mechanics Post by: Duff_Beer on July 29, 2015, 02:12:11 AM I am curious... is it on purpose that the jumping mechanics only allow you to jump straight down from your spot or is that a glitch?
In real life if you take a running start before jumping off something, you are usually propelled forward, leaping off the thing. I just tried taking a running leap off a tower in this game hoping to dive into the water next to it. I ended up just plummeting straight down to the base of the tower despite the water being 3 blocks away. I don't know if this is on purpose or what but please fix it, thanks. So if you want to drop straight down... then don't move after walking off the ledge. If you want to fall 3 blocks forward then keep pushing forward as you fall. |
