Title: startup bug
Post by: MrKindeur on December 22, 2011, 02:31:36 PM
Hi, I have a problem when starting mythruna
Here therefore I choose my screen resolution while normally at the beginning as I start it, but there just after a black window and it happens mythruna closes and does not start.
Here is the error code:

Uncaught exception from thread:Thread[LWJGL Renderer Thread,5,main]

Thank you to those who help me

:(

Ok, in this case there is not much you can do.  GLSL and OpenGL2 will always be required... at least for a very long time.

What graphics card are you using?

I have a Mobile Intel(R) 945 Express Chipset Family  :)

Sorry to say that will not be able to play Mythruna.  Supporting those older cards would require a complete rewrite of my graphics systems and the results would be kind of ugly. :(  I may try it someday a long time from now but now I'm trying to focus on new features.

I've been thinking that too, but I don't want to buy a new PC, and you can't really upgrade a laptop...  >:(

You can at least run the game, though, right?  And there is at least hope in that case. :)

Yes, I can. And for that I am glad.

Note: I'm going to cut another release in an hour or so that may have another low quality mode that helps.  We'll see.

You know, that 1218's low quality makes everything rainbow-colored for me. It does give me a couple more FPS though.

Uh... that's not good.  Drivers are up to date?

I'll have to check, but I think so. and I can't play on Linux 'cause they don't even have drivers for my card.
This is from my phone, so I can't check now.

Have you ever tried /trees low and /flora low in mythruna? If you've tried both and used them with no FPS boost or anything then your graphics card might be having trouble with other visual content in mythruna.
