Is it sad i've seen all of these and much more? I'm an anime freak ![Grin](http://mythruna.com/forum/Smileys/default/grin.gif) DBZ, Avatar and Spirited away all have a growing nostalgic feeling to them, but they were my favorites. Nowadays it's FMA, Code Geass, Last Exile, Samurai Champloo, etc. Actually, I do have yet to see Castle in the Sky, that is high on my list currently! will sit down for it after I'm done with Fairy Tail.

Just thought I'd ask,
Does anyone watch anime here? Cuz I seem to be on an anime trip recently. If so, which ones?

I've had it for a long time, but I just don't like how often they let people play the mod. Maybe I'll try it later. JC2 is a very good looking game, would be fun MP but I might get annoyed by all the scorpios running around.

I was gonna make a starbound post after it was finished ![Tongue](http://mythruna.com/forum/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) no sense in getting people worked up over something they can play in a month or two. But i have been watching starbound for a long time. It sounds like it has the ability to be random and fresh while still having a nice flow and mood throughout your entire playthrough, from beginning to end. I highly recommend it. Especially if you even slightly liked terraria.

I much prefer that way of going about it, Paul, the blend will look much better than assigned biomes. Now the fun part is making it happen ![Smiley](http://mythruna.com/forum/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I also agree that tundra must be formed somehow... along with ice caves! Oh, and speaking of climate, what are your plans for weather again? BTW When we get into things like crystals and ores, I will spearhead the conversation. Just sayin.

The idea that you'd have some hard line where desert ends and frozen tundra begins is not appealing to me. So "biomes" will develop naturally where certain terrain intersects certain average climate.
obviously paul is gonna make things as realistic as he can. but i meant how diverse are the biomes gonna be? like theres obviously plains and tundra and desert, maybe a heavy forest area, but what about other stuff? cubeworld got me thinking cuz it has lavalands and undead lands and savannahs, as well as just plain ocean (which is fun since you can sail).

It's funny because the math I came up with for doing this (treating 3D objects as 2D in a layout) shouldn't work. But surprisingly it does for every object I've come up with so far. There are some cases where two objects next to each other might look strange but not as often as you would think... and generally it only happens with really large round objects (like a barrel) that you wouldn't put in a backpack anyway. If it turns out to work as well as it does on paper then it means that a bag is a consistent size in inventory management... so it takes up the same size in your pack as roughly the objects it holds would. Hard to describe without getting low level into the details and I'd rather discover the issues during implementation... but basically it involves scaling the 2D view of an object by its relative depth. So something long, thin, and flat like a sword might look slightly disproportionately scaled next to something more cube shaped. But since the rescale is based on the whole 2D profile, it's not as bad as you'd think. It's a nice compromise, I think. Hopefully it turns out to work. sounds cool. another thing i'd love to see in action!

though they both look good, the second one really feels like i could not just be on an adventure, but truly immersed in a big world while doing it. Like i could be exploring a big hill or mountain, and just get lost in all there is to see so far away.
