That bug used to be a little bit more useful. You could place a second block (on your feet) and not shoot to the surface. Then you could walk around in the ground. But it was also much more annoying to get out of...

If you turn climb mode off then you don't shoot up... but then you fall. Smiley

I used the bug where you are in a 2 block space (or no way out) and place a block on the upper space (where the player's head is) and then you can
see through a bunch of blocks. I saw parts of the ocean floor. Smiley

In-case you don't know, making swords will look alot better. Think of a sword from skyrim, then think of making your own sword creation you have in mind and being able to wield it.
True, but as of now BigBug's look good with the blueprints he has to work with.
Speaking of blueprints. I'll make a chess set next time im on.
And play chess with them Cheesy

I don't think these abilities will be so specific and they will be based more on the probability of something good being there.  It likely won't be a homing signal for metals.  The idea is that a dwarf will be able to find the richest areas more easily than a regular player because they'll know that an area of rock is likely to produce better stuff before digging at it.

This is more useful than it sounds because:
a) most of the really cool stuff won't be obvious like a special block... it will just be part of whatever rock you are digging.
b) digging with a pick-axe will destroy things like large gems... you might see a few tiny chips of it.
c) digging with a more gentle tool will take a really long time.... so you don't really want to do that unless you have a pretty good idea where the good stuff is.  Or just have lots of time to kill.

And note, much of those are probably skills, anyway... so not every player starts out even being able to perform the necessary actions to find the good stuff.  Then they'd need the proper tools, and so on.

Also note, in the real game, even regular pick-axe to stone mining will take a lot longer than you are probably used to in "mining games"... since this isn't really a mining game.  Dirt and sand digging will be much faster than stone mining... though a pick axe will be pretty useless for sand.

This answers my question 100%

...and I potentially get to make some really wild areas not based on the classic terrain.
And maybe someone chooses to stay dead, and just play around in the spirit world. Would the spirit world be single-player? Would it be modifiable (digging, building)? Could you take possessions from the spirit world to the mundane world?

You would see other players... and yes possessions would be transferable.  If I can make it interesting enough then I'm sure some people would like to stay there.

Being able to build may require some special resource collection requirements.  I will not divulge more on that subject at this time.
If players wanna go to the spirit plane then there would be towers to jump of to get there and when you said defending your corpse in spirit roam does that mean your playing self invisible?

This is related to the making of swords in the blueprint editor
  here are the pics Cheesy

I actually wanted the vertical sword design but I couldn't make an exact copy in horizontal form

This is me pointing the sword

Since spikes do damage maybe we can make these poking sticks
I wish I could make a horizontal version of the vertical sword

Anyone can copy this blueprint(I want you to) Grin
