Apparently there's already an " Earthscraper" in the works (in what is usually called reality). It seems like a cool idea, though I have no idea whether or not such an architecture could really be feasible; inspiring, at least, the concept might be.

I was (still am, technically) a part of their community, albeit not a very vocal one. No matter what was contained within the "offending" posts, going so far as to delete all of these members' posts was completely unnecessary; the vast majority of them (I counted around 15 000, but that might be a little off) were indeed just helpful discussions of the game, ideas, and friendly banter, much like many posts on these or any other good forums, and their absence leaves a large number of threads unreadable.

Indeed. I am also disappointed - but it was probably very unrealistic to expect them to pull it off, even from the start. Virtually no communications from any of the developers lately hasn't helped their cause, either; much of the recent community outrage could have been easily tempered.

I might not be too up-to-date on all this, but it seem like the new EULA is actually more lenient than the old one; people are complaining because Mojang hasn't been as strict about it before, even though much of the monetisation that has been around was in fact never allowed. In case anyone missed it, here's a link to what Notch had to write about it: "Literally worse than EA". starforge
I'm one of the unfortunate - or perhaps just gullible - ones who helped fund CodeHatch (though I'm sure many have paid much more than I have), one or mayhaps two years ago. So far their game has been nothing but a massive disappointment, but I suppose that is more my fault for expecting so much from them, and they might still make at least something playworthy of it - anyway, my point is I don't think they set a very good example.

I must admit I have no experience with that particular program (or any other version of "Construct"), and I'm unsure of whether a similar-sounding problem in Construct 2 could be related at all, but this seems like it might (hopefully) be relevant: Flicker between sprites - Scirra ForumsSolution from the linked thread: "It could be that they are placed between pixels. Go to the view ribbon and set snap to 1x1 grid. Then select all of your objects, move them away a little and back again with the mouse."

Sleek! Definitely looks better than some web pages I built when I was 12, or 13, though I'll blame that on it being about seven years ago. Works fine in Opera on 64-bit Ubuntu 12.10, too (not my favorite browser, but I thought it deserved to be tested); an outdated version of Opera Mobile on my outdated mobile phone didn't quite handle it, though (the page appeared to be left-aligned and the menu links at the top didn't show up), but that shouldn't really count (due to the outdatedness). Well done!
