1771  General Category / General Discussion / Coke or Pepsi? on: July 11, 2014, 02:24:31 PM
This is another forum game. This is relatively simple. You must choose between the two options the person above you gives you, then give two options for the next poster.

So then, Coke, or Pepsi?
1772  General Category / General Discussion / Re: TenJava.. on: July 11, 2014, 12:25:16 PM
*sigh* I guess there's no escaping the leaky memory sponge of Minecraft...

Nevertheless, I hold nothing but the best wishes for your success. Better you than one of Mojang's cronies.

Give Mythruna a shoutout for us though, eh?

My entry is a shrine for the giant catfish, Namazu.

The pictures do it little justice. If you wish to see just how detailed it is, travel to these coordinates:1682, -245, 58

A view of the shrine and bridge from a distance.

The bridge to the shrine.

A close up view of the shrine gate and the shrine grounds.

A close up of the shrine's water basin(In Shintoism, washing yourself is equivalent to washing away sin)

An outhouse because I couldn't think of anything else to put there.

... and the contents of said outhouse.

At the front steps of the shrine... Notice the water lamps lining the front of the shrine, and the water lanterns. Namazu may be worshipped as a bringer of earthquakes, but he is still a fish.

With the sliding doors closed this time.

A good view of the interior of the shrine's worship area, complete with an extra wash fountain, a towel, an old candle blueprint I had laying around, and Namazu's statue. Notice that the wood paneling protrudes a bit.

An incense burner with extra incense sticks on the wall opposite the candles and wash fountain

A close-up of Namazu's statue.

Making eye contact this time around.

The rightmost room of the shrine. A dining and living area stocked with teas and various other goods owned(and often distributed) by the shrine keeper. The floor is composed of tatami mats. It seems the shrine keeper had company!

A night-time image, so that you can see the seating arrangement.

The modest living quarters of the shrine keeper. The most emphasized item in this room is the nightstand, obviously. What items are important enough to not be relinquished by the shrine's caretaker? (I really like how the nightstand turned out. I used the magic lights as knobs.

That's my entry folks. It's not protected unfortunately(since my original stronghold is *really* far away), but that just means you need to be cautious around it. >.>

Everything but the grass and the water under the shrine's main room is composed of blueprint objects. The final product, including all of the various bits and pieces should contain a little under 100 blueprints.

Granted, but you can no longer understand any other language.

I wish for someone to corrupt this wish.

I have over 30 unique blueprints if you count all the fine details...

EDIT: It's over 70 now methinks

I've got a really good entry so far. Not too much left to get done! ^.^

Only 1 other person in the contest... >.>
1778  Player's Corner / Gallery / Re: [CONTEST] Blueprint Building! on: July 09, 2014, 02:34:20 PM
Ahh, that's good. I've seen far too many decimated buildings on the main server... Tongue
1779  General Category / General Discussion / Re: [IDEA] Miasma on: July 09, 2014, 01:09:34 PM
Eh, I never agreed with the 'cold doesn't exist' thought process. Heat and cold are opposites as adjectives. A hot object is an exotherm, and a cold one is an endotherm towards a point of reference. If you find, say, something hotter than the sun, then if the sun absorbs some of that object's heat, the sun functioned as a cold, endothermic construct. The way I see it, the only things you can call nonexistent are the things that have no effect on anything, but that's only from a philosophical standpoint. Just my two cents on that concept.

Miasma may be a force, but it shouldn't be directly manipulable like heat or cold, if that's what you mean. Can a force that's incompatible with life energy, and life itself, be considered magical energy?

Granted, but you can only become famous from Mythruna let's plays... and all the praise gets deferred to Paul.

I wish for the earth to turn into the Breach; A planet who's southern pole faces it's system's star at all times.

Don't know the location... >.>

Has it weathered the griefers well?
1782  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Corrupt a Wish on: July 09, 2014, 11:52:13 AM
Granted, but attempting to track player movement without using timers, fetching the user's location, and comparing the distances causes the player's client to crash.

I wish chunk loading didn't cause immense lag spikes for me.
1783  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Corrupt a Wish on: July 09, 2014, 10:08:23 AM
Granted, but Paul later realizes phpbb is just as good without him having to pay $400.

I wish for world peace.

This contest is testing your ability to use blueprints to create larger structures. Preferably, you shouldn't need to use salvaged goods, but the museum sounds intriguing. Screenshot it as your entry if you wish.
1785  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Corrupt a Wish on: July 08, 2014, 11:12:19 PM
My idea... kinda didn't work.

Back to the game now! Cheesy

I wish I found Mythruna three years ago.
