1801  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Corrupt a Wish on: July 06, 2014, 05:28:34 PM
.... I wish for the same thing... I refuse to corrupt that one. xD
1802  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Corrupt a Wish on: July 06, 2014, 05:21:20 PM
Granted, but I'm the only one that can do it.

I wish my cat wasn't such a baby and didn't complain about everything.
1803  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Corrupt a Wish on: July 06, 2014, 04:43:58 PM
Granted, but a bug in the server software results in everyone whose name starts with S being banned

I wish the default character model wasn't a naked Laura Croft... xD
1804  Player's Corner / Gallery / Re: Popups and an axe... on: July 06, 2014, 04:38:14 PM
I'm sure someone in the community would be happy to make a good mesh for you. Tongue

Ehh... The bigger the game gets, the harder it is for them to stay connected with the community.
1806  Modder's Workbench / Scripting / What Language is Mythruna Coded in? on: July 06, 2014, 04:21:08 PM
Might be able to get a friend into this game if it's C++... But I'm coding language illiterate and don't know if it's C++ or not. I know it shares the C++ notation but don't know anything else.
1807  General Category / Tech Support / Wordpress donation account? on: July 06, 2014, 03:57:47 PM
Do you need to have a wordpress account to donate and get benefits? I can't seem to register or anything, and it asks for login info on there... My login on here doesn't work there and I can't find a place to register there.
1808  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Corrupt a Wish on: July 06, 2014, 03:54:27 PM
Let the game begin!

I wish I knew how to code.
1809  General Category / General Discussion / Corrupt a Wish on: July 06, 2014, 03:52:55 PM
This is a simple forum game... Because this forum is deathly silent. The objective of the game is to cleverly turn the wish of the person above you into a nightmare without actually changing the wish, and then make a wish of your own.

There is a generally accepted syntax for this game.

Granted, but _____.

I wish _____.

So, if someone wishes for Nyan Cat... This would be an acceptable response.

Quote
Granted, but it's made of toast.

I wish for puppies.

An unacceptable response to the above wish would be:

Quote
Granted, but they're toasters .

Completely changing a wish is not allowed, but changing specific aspects is allowed.

That was fast... Shocked

Anywho, thanks for answering so many questions... Again. xD
1812  General Category / General Discussion / Various Questions About Future Development on: July 06, 2014, 12:43:20 AM
These are just some questions that have been brewing for a while. Dunno if some have been elaborated on elsewhere or not. I briefly skimmed some stuff all over the forums before I sat down and wrote up... well... even MORE questions on top of what I've already asked. Hope you brought a snack. Tongue

1. I noticed your gameplan included heat as a factor for the reptilian race. Will other species like humans still suffer from hypothermia if they run around a tundra naked? Will certain armors/clothing have insulation ratings? Are there any other survival elements planned like hydration, hunger, etc?

2. There are many ways games make every single item more dynamic. Equipment enhancing being the most prominent method. Some games offer this through enchantments, reforging, and even upgrade powders. Others, still, couple those with additional socket enhancements, but a notable enhancement system is the one found in Cube World, where you add on to your weapon using voxels. Is something like this planned in the future?

3. How will the skills work? Is it going to be a "click to do this" or will it be "Make a clean incision here to remove the guts; Cut the skin here & here to remove the pelt, and slice here to harvest a slab of meat"(basically a kind of minigame thing)?

4. Will equipment degrade? If so, what happens when it's 'durability' is depleted? Does it break? Become unusable? become less efficient?

5. I noticed mention of an aging system. Will this be reversible? Will it have any non-cosmetic implications? Will we, if nothing else, be able to shave? xD

6. How will blueprints work later? Will they require their respective resources, or will they be unmakeable(in 'survival' mode)?

7. Is more than one 'world' planned? I.E A portal leads to another planet filled with city ruins, or a planet of fire and ice.

8. Will there be ale? :3

9. Will mobs interact with the environment? I.E Bunnies may eat all the vegetation in an area, make burrows, etc.

10. Will there be a taming/domestication/breeding system? I.E Taming a cat living in nearby brush by visiting it for a few nights with food/ Breaking in a young horse/ penning cattle with feed.

11. Magic sense will have its' own branch allowing you to predict weather, which denotes importance. What 'real world' implications will weather have? How will weather work? Will the temperature in an area keep climbing(during the summer) until it rains like in real life? What kinds of weather events will there be? Will weather be local or global? Will certain biomes have unique weather events? I.E Desert may have sandstorms, jungle may have flash floods, lakeside forest may have fog, etc.

12. Will there be emotes?

13. Will there be farmable goods? (Melon houses!)

Sorry for asking so many questions... but I have good reasons. Cheesy

(There used to be about 20 questions, but I'm going to flesh them out into suggestions or just scrap them instead since it's unlikely you're planning them.)
1813  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Let's Talk Server Monetization. on: July 01, 2014, 01:40:10 AM
A solid plan. I've spent the past hour trying to compliment each part of your gameplan separately, but I couldn't say anything that felt worthy of what you've told me. In terms of opinion, I agree with your statements in this matter wholly.

One idea I have to root out greedy or expensive servers: A sort of 'review system' or server review commitees(or some other volunteer kind of thing) may be able to flag extreme P2W servers. Much like Gamespot, Rotten Tomatoes, and many other sites that incorporate review systems, you can have servers evaluated by users and people you 'certify' based on checklists including things like how much it costs to actually join the server(the costs of mods, entry fees/subscription fees), gameplay, microtransaction balance, etc. It would not only root out bad servers, but give good servers a means and a reason to better themselves

I hope that I may soon be able to make a more significant contribution to your cause other than a single idea... But until then, I pray my ideas are of use to you later on.

Thank you for your time, and such an earnest response. Dealing with Mojang... I forgot what it meant to actually be heard by the powers that be and... It's a good feeling. Even with such a small game, it really means something. Once again, thank you.
1814  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Let's Talk Server Monetization. on: June 30, 2014, 10:09:46 PM
So what is your opinion on things like microtransactions for items, permissions, etc?
1815  General Category / General Discussion / Let's Talk Server Monetization. on: June 30, 2014, 06:21:04 PM
Minecraft created an unforgettable sensation in the world of online gaming because of implied freedoms -- A server owner or mod developer's labors could in turn be sold for a profit, servers themselves offering exclusive benefits and abilities like spells, kits, and various other permissions for those who had the money for it. Early on, mods could be sold and up until now plugin developers were contracted to code various things that augmented the server to make their gameplay unique. Now, that very same community is at arms about Mojang cracking down on monetization.

My question is: Do you wish to promote such freedoms for your users, or do you plan to restrict them?
