1  General Category / General Discussion / Re: What have you guys been doing lately? on: March 20, 2013, 07:14:44 AM
Can confirm that, a huge German forum has slowed massively down, too.
Dunno what going on.

I played through Tomb Raider. Made a lot of fun Smiley
2  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Video Gamers on: October 25, 2012, 04:30:08 AM
Currently massive Skyrim player.
Fallout 3 is one of my favorites, love the game!
Last good game I finished ... Limbo. Neat game and a completely different setting. Liked it a lot!

I think Resident Evil 1 - Gamecube version (better grafics) is up next. RE 1 - 3 are awsome. Not the bulls*** what came after that games.

If you like Horror games, Siren - Blood Course is one of my favorites, too.

And, of course, Minecraft and Mythruna are on the 'have to play' list Smiley
3  Player's Corner / Gallery / Re: New menus prototype... on: October 18, 2012, 03:38:14 AM
I do like the prototype.
But the color of the letters (e.g. 'Single Player') should be darker and look older.
As it is now it looks to me like old paper with fresh ink on it, older ink would fit better

... just my opinion Smiley
4  Development / Blog / Re: Random town names... on: September 10, 2012, 02:35:29 AM
Hey Paul,

please keep in mind that the towns of the different races should have some differences.
E.g. the reptilians could always have townnames with at least one "-" like 'Brak-Al' or  'Dsah-Gnod-Ty'.

So you would always know what race has founded that town. And it would make them one of a kind.
I personally think it would be strange to have the same name for towns of different races.

Hmm..

You could google your laptop and check if it has 2 graficcards. Usually the is a button for switching the cards.

very good work, looks amazing!
Especially the bridge looks very good!
I'm curious what the final ways/roads will look like Smiley

[snip] and its not like i need introducing

Sure, my post was intended as basic information. I'm sorry if you feel offended, that was not my intention.

@topic in general:
I do not understand why you guys don't get Pauls point... Lets try it this way:

Situation atm:

Costs for get someome informed to maintain the website > Costs maintaining it by himself

Thats it. The costs of time and effort are higher at the moment to handle somebody, no matter how good he is, then doing it by himself. That situation can change, if he needs support he will ask.

Of course you want to help and show your support for the project, and thats perfect!
So why not spread the word, test the game, find bugs and report them. Thats the current point we can help Paul most.

Anyways, this kind of discussion doesn't belong here, so I'll leave it as that.

Indeed, thanks a lot Wink

You can read a lot here in the forum about the points Paul will add. The roadmap shows a lot of very interesting stuff. Seasons will be in the game, crops will be there and he even implements a system how big a area has to be to grant a certain number of inhabitants. Very impressive aspects and ideas.
Keep in touch, there is a lot of cool stuff to come Smiley
9  Player's Corner / Gallery / Re: My Overview Video of Mythruna :) Spreading the word on YouTube on: August 13, 2012, 02:44:21 AM
Very good, thanks a lot for putting your effort into promoting Mythruna!
Cool thing that there are only thumb ups on the video and positive comments. Promising Smiley

Looking at the code is good but wount help you that much atm.
Most of the better looking websites are dynamic websites. So you see the result of the programming (php, asp, java and whatnot) but not the code generating the site.

There are tons of tutorials and e-learning tools out there, should be a better point to start then reading foreign code.

@free working:
Thats a great offer, of course.
But atm Paul is focusing on the delevopment of the game. He already invested the time to get the hompeage and everything running. The time and effort he has to put in to keep it running is less then introducing a partner and supervising him. So the costs are higher then doing it by himself.

Super-motivated... sounds promising Smiley
12  Player's Corner / Gallery / Re: Another game review video... on: August 07, 2012, 05:49:42 AM
congrats on getting the word spread!
Cool video and the comments are indeed more positive then I thought these comments could be. Usually there is a LOT of flaming and trolling when it comes to anything barely similar to MC.

What does the number after the work stand for, like fishing(0.25) .. how effective they are?

that program reminds me of the old school games, like Civilisation Cheesy
14  Development / Blog / Re: Strange Research... on: July 23, 2012, 03:34:52 AM
You're welcome.
Jup the medieval time was realy amazing. I love to visit locations or festivals with my wife and friends Smiley
Luckily there are a lot of them here.
I'm curious what your medieval-mythruna-mixture will look like!
Mixing these facts with some math and magic is a attempt for gamecreation I've never seen in any other game. Thats very unique and very interesting.
15  Development / Blog / Re: Strange Research... on: July 23, 2012, 02:01:21 AM
Hey Paul,

tell me if I can lend you a hand. Here are a lot of medieval groups in my area. Like artits, musicians, blacksmiths and so on. They show their skills at different festivals wich take place a few times during the summer.
Recently I saw some of them with amazing costumes! There were even some harlots dancing in a group of armed men with some wine (or Met) in their hands. They had these yellow ribbons attached to their dresses.
The festival before a group was playing music on selfmade instruments. Sounds similar to pipers.
And we have some castles, ruins etc. around here.

So if you need some information, contacts, pictures or whatever, feel free to ask Smiley
