So recently my birthday has passed by, 2 days ago to be exact, and what I did was before-hand I ordered some parts from newegg. What I was wanting to get was a graphics card. Well, in the process, I ended up getting 4 other things: Case, 2nd fan, 500 watt psu, and a new mouse.

So let's just say, I'm glad I got this upgrade on my desktop, and if you didn't know, previously my desktop had integrated graphics which couldn't run Mythruna. Now, Minecraft runs at almost 100FPS with settings all the way up. At my shock, my card is the Radeon HD 6570, and it runs at that! As well, before then I played Mythruna on my laptop at an unstable FPS. Now it's time to find out the FPS!

Haha, first computer upgrade. Smiley *downloads Mythruna*

It did, 60-100 FPS, and I didn't learn that word long ago, "belated."

Nice.

Yeah, as I got older I forgot more peoples' birthdays... so "belated" becomes a common utterance. Smiley

I hope you got a reliable power supply!
500 watts (not 80+ certified anything) and a minimal of 400 watts, I think I have it covered. Might want to get an 80+ gold certified in the future though.

Well, following up on the "reliable" thing... what brand did you get?

Most are probably ok... but dirty power can slowly kill your other components even if it is delivering the proper wattage.  I went through a couple pair of SLI graphics cards in one box before I swapped out the power supply for something with a real name.  That el-cheapo $25 PSU turned out to be the most expensive component I've ever bought. Sad
