New release is coming soon.  Here is an example of steep slopes used for shingles and steep underslopes for wood.



You can also see a few sand half-blocks.

Do you think natural terrain could also have slopes? That might help to visually separate Mythruna from other, similar games.

Do you think natural terrain could also have slopes? That might help to visually separate Mythruna from other, similar games.

I looked at at least using the half blocks in the terrain generation but the issue is plant and tree placement.  They would always have to go on a full block.... slopes would cause a similar issue (not to mention that sloped grass looks bad with slope blocks)... this would greatly reduce the size of the forests.

When/if flora becomes separate entities and not "world blocks" then I may revisit it.

Yeah, some time in the next 24 hours if I don't get overly side-tracked by day job.

The new slope blocks don't act like slopes when you walk on them.  They are currently approximated with a box.  I may try to fix that before releasing but those things notoriously take heaps of time.
