I tried using the death clock today and it didn't work. I guess that means I have achieved immortality >Tongue.

Hehe, I was just kidding Unn, the only real difference is the IP command since it would be ifconfig instead of ipconfig and as Paul noted he has included a bash script for Linux servers Cheesy

I've always found Unn to be more of a turkey burner.

Cool tutorial, now write it again for a Linux user like me.  Wink

Your graphics card does seem to be on the older side. I recommend doing what Paul mentioned when inside the game:
-F12 three times to reduce clip to minimum
-F8 to turn on low quality shading
-try turning sound off in the game options. (may or may not help)
-Use the /trees low command in the chat bar to turn the trees ugly and blocky (but faster).
-Use the /flora low command in the chat bar to turn grass and flowers into ugly blocks.

Updating your graphics card might be worth a try but I wouldn't expect any difference from doing so.

Well, I'm sure you can program a little something in Python using a Raspberry Pi, or Arduino if that's possible to run a motor whenever indicated. The motor can pull the chain inside and therefore flushing the toilet. Then you could patent/distribute your invention and make millions, go into retirement, move to Belize, kill your neighbor, then get caught by police several days later while trying to hop borders.
Forum group project?
I'm in. Who wants to be the neighbor?
I'm going to go practice java..
I will take that as "I'll volunteer to be the neighbor"

I'm glad you found the problem. I've always found 'sleeping on it' to be the best course of action.

Doogie Howser is the exception.

491  General Category / General Discussion / Re: What will your story be? on: December 09, 2012, 06:38:42 PM
If you want back stories then watch/read Game of Thrones. Smiley
492  General Category / General Discussion / Re: I'm attempting to create my own game. on: December 09, 2012, 11:52:35 AM
Python is waaaaaaay simpler than Java and C++ combined. It's the simplicity that makes simple games like an rpg easier to create.

Hehe, that means 1/6 of his posts were a creation of a new topic. It's not necessarily a bad thing since it helps keep the ball rolling if you know what I mean.
494  General Category / General Discussion / Re: I'm attempting to create my own game. on: December 08, 2012, 01:54:46 PM
It's odd people still make these types of games in a language other than Python.

?

You said "error" when I think you meant "effort"... and I believe that is what Moonkey was poking at.
Oops, silly iPad autocorrect.  Tongue
Yuck, Ipad. I will hate them because I've never used it. >:I...
The only reason I have one is because when I enrolled in college I got a $500 Apple Store gift card to buy one. I now wish I had sold the gift card to someone and bought an Andriod Tablet. For my purposes, they are better; iPads are too closed up and unchangeable.
I've heard the netbooks are easier and more efficient during lectures. Also, you could probably be less obvious playing Angry Birds during a lecture if you use a netbook.  Smiley
