So I started a new MC map yesterday. Im doing well but this engine disappoints me after playing in Mythruna. Lets fast forward time to Mythruna alpha!! I look forward to gathering materials, crafting, and interacting with the world. Watching the sunset in MC prompted this post.
After see what mythruna did after playing Minecraft i have downloaded and tried many look alikes and several independent games. So far no one holds a candel to what paul has made. The only reason I play other games right now is that my Iron Island is where I want it to be and I need something to do besides build.
Currently I am trying Eve Online. I love scifi and space stuff so I have been having fun there. I feel it is coming to an end due to me not wanting to pay to play and as complicated as the game is it still seem monotonousness.
Paul, I cannot wait for you to get this project to a point where we have to gather, craft, and fight. Quests and modding will be great after that.
Very cool. I would love to be able to zoom out further in game. It helps with planing a route to a far off place or how the heck to get back home if you didnt write down the coords before you left.
I remember a game called Drakan (sp?) on the Amiga. One of the monsters assembled itself from the stars in the sky. It was kind of a cool trippy effect.
Wow a 4 pager. Sorry for bringing up old stuff. Seems so shady but im thinking how many years has processing power been doubling and we have this clever voxel tech and we also understand fractal geometry where you can basically make a line infinitely long by magnification so while the company seems shady and fake the idea isnt so far out there. I just dont know
Would it be possible to run the game it all the blocks where the size of the blueprint blocks? Whats the smallest you could go and still render smoothly?
