It was controversial at the time of writing, but do you think something like it will ever truly occurr?

What's the US then? ;) The US is a country split in half between irate capitalists and neo-socialists that don't know what "debt ceiling" means. As of yet, I can't say what will happen either way, but the pro-consumer organizations out there give me hope for the future.
