Title: Mythruna is picking the wrong video card Post by: BigredRm on May 16, 2012, 03:32:01 PM Hello all,
I am having an issue where the game is picking my onboard graphics processer and not my Radeon HD 6770M. Im only getting 0-4 FPS and therefor cannot play around and explore. I have 5 logs and a few errors in the folder. Here is the first log: 2012-05-16 16:54:24,180 INFO [mythruna.client.MainStart] Build version:20120508 2012-05-16 16:54:43,243 WARN [com.jme3.asset.AssetConfig] Cannot find loader com.jme3.scene.plugins.blender.BlenderModelLoader 2012-05-16 16:54:43,444 INFO [mythruna.client.MainStart] Application info: Memory usage: Working memory: 20% (25828944/127860736) VM Max: 5% (25828944/477233152) Rendering caps: FrameBuffer FrameBufferMRT FrameBufferMultisample OpenGL20 OpenGL21 OpenGL30 ARBprogram GLSL100 GLSL110 GLSL120 GLSL130 VertexTextureFetch TextureArray FloatTexture FloatColorBuffer FloatDepthBuffer PackedFloatTexture SharedExponentTexture PackedFloatColorBuffer NonPowerOfTwoTextures MeshInstancing VertexBufferArray Statistics: Vertices = 0 Triangles = 0 Uniforms = 0 Objects = 0 Shaders (S) = 0 Shaders (F) = 0 Shaders (M) = 0 Textures (S) = 0 Textures (F) = 0 Textures (M) = 0 FrameBuffers (S) = 0 FrameBuffers (F) = 0 FrameBuffers (M) = 0 Application settings: UseInput = true AudioRenderer = LWJGL Height = 1080 Renderer = LWJGL-OpenGL2 BitsPerPixel = 16 Fullscreen = true StencilBits = 0 DepthBits = 24 VSync = false Frequency = 60 Width = 1920 Samples = 0 DisableJoysticks = true FrameRate = -1 Display adapter information: Adapter:igdumd64 Driver Version:8.15.10.2342 Vendor:Intel Version:3.0.0 - Build 8.15.10.2342 Renderer:Mobile Intel(R) HD Graphics GLSL Ver:1.30 - Intel Build 8.15.10.2342 2012-05-16 16:54:49,036 WARN [de.lessvoid.nifty.screen.Screen] missing element/control with id [name] for requested control class [de.lessvoid.nifty.controls.TextField] 2012-05-16 17:05:48,666 WARN [de.lessvoid.nifty.sound.SoundSystem] missing sound [popup] 2012-05-16 17:05:52,112 WARN [de.lessvoid.nifty.screen.Screen] Possible conflicting id [spacer] detected. BTW i am running Win 7 Thanks Title: Re: Mythruna is picking the wrong video card Post by: BigredRm on May 16, 2012, 04:05:01 PM Update I have a laptop with radeon switchable graphics. I switched the game to run on the radeon card(performance) but when I open the game it is still opening with the intel onboard GPU.

http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Display-and-Video/Brand-new-DV6-with-switchable-graphics-WONT-SWITCH-to-Radeon/td-p/699531 If you cannot get the software to turn the better card on you must change the switchable graphics setting from dynamic to fixed in your BIOS. There are instructions in the link. It is quick and easy. After the fix im running 60FPS Hope this saved you some time. I was typing up a response with mostly "hopeful moral support" but I'm glad to see this response come through in the mean time. Hopefully the lwjgl + jMonkeyEngine stack will figure out how to properly trigger the higher end graphics someday. I sort of rely on them to do the right thing with the OpenGL layer. |
