I am using Pre-alpha Test Build 20120627 and I clicked ESC, then while in that screen F1 (looking for some way to pause), and when I clicked one of the options there, the game crashed to the desktop. Not sure if layering too many windows caused the crash. Still don't know how to pause...
I have been unable to duplicate the behavior. Just letting you know.

That was what I was getting at. So, I don't need the server download, then; just the Pre-alpha Test Build. Stupid question answered.

If there is a better place to post stupid questions, please let me know, but I am wondering if I can play without connecting to a server at all, except of course to pick up updates? I am guessing (perhaps erroneously) that by creating a stand alone server, I can indeed play alone without being online. If so, what kind of storage do I need to run the game? Please advise, or tell me a better place to post my question.
