Me and my buddy decides to create an account, but whenever we finish the details and click ok, the game stop responding. I don't understand what the problem is... Try now. It may have been that the server was overloaded. Some series of events the past few days has consistently maxed out the memory in just a few hours every time I reset the server. It can normally go weeks before this happens. ...of course these problems wait until I'm traveling. Title: Re: Game stop responding when creating an account. One more question, is there any combat in this game and are there any communities? (sorry for sounding stupid). Liam. Title: Re: Game stop responding when creating an account. Post by: BenKenobiWan on March 11, 2012, 10:28:12 PM Not a stupid question. There is stuff about that in the forums, but that's a lot of reading.
There isn't combat yet, there will be, but right now, if you press 'G', you can go into game mode (as opposed to build mode), which show somewhat what the UI will look like. Mostly nonfunctional right now. As for communities, if you meant NPC's, not yet, if you meant clans or the like in-game, maybe, none I know of, if you meant special groups on the forum, there's a few.. Post by: pspeed on March 12, 2012, 07:25:58 AM Ben did a great job of answering and I don't really have anything to add except to agree with his follow-up questions. :)
Next on my to-do list is the rudimentary AI support which probably leads to rudimentary creature support. This is mostly so that I can better get all of the scripting APIs in place for modders. In some sense, if I have object scripting (pretty much done) and AI then really enthusiastic modders could implement their own creatures and combat (in the 'click to roll the dice' style of a lot of RPGs) while waiting for the real systems to catch up.
