"1984" is a novel that entertains the possibility of the world, essentially, being run by totalitarian governments. It was controversial at the time of writing, but do you think something like it will ever truly occurr?

The US is a country split in half between irate capitalists and neo-socialists that don't know what "debt ceiling" means.

As of yet, I can't say what will happen either way, but the pro-consumer organizations out there give me hope for the future.
