A lot of laptops now come with two video cards: 1) embedded intel piece of crap for running low-power, 2) a beefed up super-GPU.

Mythruna for whatever reason does not always choose the more powerful one and you must do it either globally in your BIOS settings or sometimes I guess you can do it in the driver settings.

Maybe this is happening to you.

I don't know.  Maybe try completely uninstalling Java?  Maybe it is an issue with 32 bit Java on a 64 bit OS or something?

I would need to know a lot more about your system to make more guesses than that.

Wtf do you need to do with 8gb's of ram? I have 2gb's and I'm perfect with it, no problems whatsoever. Lol I actually think anything above 4gb's is useless Tongue. Unless you're doing insane projects that take up 100% of your computer to run then herp derp no need for 8gb's of ram. unless you paid for 8gbs lol.

WinXP won't even use more than 3.2 gig... but newer operating systems will continue to consume more resources because they can.  Applications eat up larger and larger chunks and then it adds up fast.  I wouldn't buy a new system with less than 8 gig these days if I planned to run something newer than XP.

The two Mythruna systems I built (6 core AMDs) I only put 4 in because I was only planning on putting XP on them.

Totally off topic at this point... but as architecture goes...

Every year I get the huge "acm Transactions on Graphics" from SIGGRAPH.  Basically, all the papers and stuff that were submitted for that year.  Good times.

This year, towards the end, there was an article that I found very interesting.  I later found a briefer version online:
http://web.siat.ac.cn/~vcc/publications/2011/retargetting/

A lot of the same ideas I was already working on for generated buildings in Mythruna.  I hope to be able to steal some ideas.  I already like their simple classification system (F,S,R) as it was already simpler than the one I was developing... and I only need to add one more.
