Java 6
Java 6 is no longer open up on oracle for download, and I have to register for an account on the oracle site and give information that I don't want to, to even attempt to download an old version. All Java 6 files have been moved to archive, quotes oracle:

Quote from: Oracle
Oracle no longer posts updates of Java SE 6 to its public download sites. All Java 6 releases up to and including 6u45 have been moved to the Java Archive on the Oracle Technology Network, where they will remain available but not receive further updates. Oracle recommends that users migrate to Java 7 in order to continue receiving public updates and security enhancements.

And following up from the Java Archive link, oracle heeds a warning of this:

Quote from: Oracle
WARNING: These older versions of the JRE and JDK are provided to help developers debug issues in older systems. They are not updated with the latest security patches and are not recommended for use in production.

Java 7
The latest version is ran at Java 7u25. As stated in the Java 6 section, all versions of 6 have been moved to the archive and are no longer updated.
QUESTION: Since we are at 7u25 how come most people still use Java 6 versions, that don't have the best security and the newest features? I do realize that some people are just too lazy to update, or plain out don't know how to..

Java 8?
While searching on trying to find old Java 6 versions, I saw a list of articles upon Java 8, and I don't fundamentally like the title (as I didn't like the title 'Java 7' when it first came out) but here are some articles on it:

Love or hate for Java 8
Java 8 Explained: Default Methods

QUESTION: Is Java 8 really going to be a thing this soon?
