There will be strength.  There will probably be some form of agility and manual dexterity.  Basically, whatever I have to define as the player->character interface.  You can't squeeze your mouse button stronger so I have to have some kind of strength stat.  You aren't controlling your individual feet, etc. so I have to have agility... and so on.  Probably no "intelligence", though.

You would increase these through magic devices that you add to yourself.

No.  There will be no XP in Mythruna... and this is just another form of XP.  It's a variation on the "killing 400 badgers" problem and everything falls apart because of stuff like this.  It's nice to see more games seem to be wising up to the fact that XP based leveling essentially caused every other problem with RPGs.

so the only way to increase these stats is with magic devices

hmmm how this makes it so when you create you character you give them the strength of a normal person with out them getting too absurdly strong so there is a range norm what sentient races can and can't do with out giving special attributes to player correct?

If I understand the question(s) correctly...

Your body can only accept so many magic devices.  There are a number of slots limited by race (humans have the most).  Not only that, everything implies a tradeoff.  You may be able to increase your strength to huge levels but then you'd have to power it somehow... either your magic/life force or by using up a slot for some battery or something.

Similarly, when you roll up your initial stats, there will be trade offs in how you can apply them... and some stats will get more expensive as you ramp up others.  For example, super-strength might imply that agility is more expensive to increase.  I haven't yet decided exactly how all of the attributes will influence each other but I know they will.  Strength affects size, size affects agility, etc.

so wait you roll up your total stats in character creation? (personally i find it annoying because it just waists time re rolling it constantly just to randomly get a nice total)

ebag no, he said you will use magic to "roll up" or increase certain stats, but when you do that you have to use some other thing as he said "tradeoff" meaning that you have to use (my favorite scientific term) Equivalent Exchange, meaning you get this, but you have to give something with equal value in return.

And as he said life force:

More Strength : Less life force

You will be given a fixed amount of points that you can distribute around as you like... or you can randomize the distribution if you prefer to play that way.  You still have a set number of customization points to work with.

Once the character is created, only magic will change the stats... but just like in character creation, some stats will take more energy/points to increase based on how other stats are setup.
