I was wondering if it would be alright if I ordered a custom t-shirt with the mythruna logo on it.
I need permission since it's not my logo. If not, that's fine. I don't know if I want to spend the money anyways.

Yeah, I'm fine with it for this purpose as long as it has a TM on it somewhere.

If you need a higher resolution version of the logo then let me know.  I will put one up on the media page. (I'll also include the 'tm')

Also, if there is somewhere that provides t-shirt sales and shipping where they handle all of the stuff then I can look at putting out official designs.  I just don't want to handle the inventory and shipping myself. Smiley

It would be nice to have a higher rez pic, an with the TM, too
I think it's on the France site, the logo with the cool reflection thing. I want to have that on a black shirt.

@Theevoid: I don't know if I'll get one, but if I do, I will put up a pic, and maybe a link so other people can get them, too.

@Paul: I feel like you should be getting something if a bunch of people buy t-shirts for your very epic game.  Do you care?

It's free advertising, too... so I do derive some benefit.  If I can find a place that will allow me to sell custom t-shirts through them then I can offer that to players if they want.

As long as you aren't deriving income by reselling t-shirts with my trademark on them then it doesn't bother me.  (If you were deriving income then legally it has to bother me because of the way branding works... not because I'd want to be a jerk about it.)

I'll look at the france site again to see if I can find out which logo you mean.  The one I always use has the landscape inside the words.

Ok, I'm not sure which one you mean after poking around there.  Can you be more specific?  Smiley  I don't want to touch up the wrong one.

Looks like I can setup a custom store here:
http://www.spreadshirt.com/

I just need to know what logo design you meant.  I'll provide both the logo in the media section of the wiki as well as setting up a store with the designs already setup.  Then Simsilica/Mythruna get some commission off of the shirts, too.

Hmm.. Perhaps I only imagined it.
Anyways, the logo on the wordpress site is closest to what I was imagining.

If you just take the standard Mythruna logo, put it on a black background, and splash a bit of light behind it, that should look good.

Perhaps in the back, a blank map something like this: http://jmonkeyengine.org/groups/mythruna/forum/topic/pictures-of-the-world/ (but blank)
with the edges heavily faded out to black, like this, only nicer looking, and the black should be more of an oval shape (maybe leave the dragon out, I dunno)

About the money:
I was meaning that it might not be fair for a shirt company to get business making t-shirts with your logo. But I see you figured something out, so it's good.

Mmm... the faded map is an interesting idea.

While waiting to see your reply, I setup a store and played with these designs thinking I might get one for my son or wife:

I was curious to know how well the gradient transparency would work on a t-shirt so I've ordered one with the above design using transparency (instead of a black background).

I should get it in 4-5 days I guess and then I will post back here with how well it turned out.

The plain dragon logo shirts should turn out (hopefully) better because there isn't really a gradient.

That looks cool. what I meant was actually to have the mythruna on the front of the shirt and the map on the back of it. But what you did works.

One thing about the logo itself, I don't really like the color of "what will your story be". Maybe a light brown or light green. I dunno.

I'll mess with the color and post some different images later.
