As we wait for the next update I was wondering... Will it add a texture atlas that you can enable/disable? You said you tried it and now you're making my jelly Cheesy . I would like to know ^^ incase you forgot to add the texture atlas, or you want to hold it back until later.

He said that he was going to wait on fixing performance until he added things like physics and AI.

Ben has it right.  I need to have some easy performance wins later to offset the performance hits I will add.  Otherwise, everyone will forever complain about how every release is always slower than the last.

I haven't tried an atlas.  I know how to make one.  What I did try was using just one texture for everything so I could see what performance impact an atlas would have.  On my machine that gets 2-3 FPS I was able to get up to 19 FPS.  It made almost no difference on my higher performance box.  Well, I suppose going from 230 FPS up to 250 FPS "might" be considered a big difference but it's negligible. Smiley

The whole world looked like it was made of chocolate, though.  That was kind of cool. Smiley

A texture atlas is where all of the textures are combined into one giant texture.  It makes some GPUs work less.

Could you send me a download for that one texture thing? (or tell me how Cheesy) If you don't have It anymore, that's ok. FYI. though, My laptop is wierd. /flora low = better performance?!
/trees low = slight increase in performance?! Shaders on high = No working lights?!?! See how wierd it is?

I'm convinced your drivers are way out of whack as you are the only person to have ever complained about missing lighting.

I no longer have the single texture version.  It was a local test build that I did 8 months ago or so.  When textures and block types are moddable it would be possible to test with just one texture.

Eh that's ok, I'll wait  Smiley . I run the game just fine but... OOH! I know how to keep my laptop from over-heating! FPS Limiter . My laptop's GPU is sitting OVER the motherboard and the cooling vents were poorly put together, so when my GPU tries to render over 30 frames it gets REALLY hot. As you can see Mythruna doesn't REALLY run well but I at least get +40 Fps, and with burnout paradise on my laptop I get 60+ fps. (Wierd). I used an FPS limiter to change the FPS. I will try Mythruna with it.

Edit: Doesn't work, since Mythruna starts up strangely. (Some opening window that says "MYTHRUNA", and then the options menu. And then "MYTHRUNA" again and then the real game.) I need to to start up with just the main menu only and the options actually in... the options menu xD.
