Paul, what degree do you have specifically?
Like... college degree? yes, unless you don't have one. I only ask because I'm trying to find a degree for software developement (making video games) and i wondered if you had or know of a specific degree i could look up. I went to college more than 20 years ago now on a Systems Engineering degree. The first two years were heavy on computer science... but I dropped out somewhere in or after my second year. I was working for start up companies making good $$$ and just didn't have the time to juggle it all. I also took some art classes and have been into computer graphics and game programming since I was 10 years old. I thought about minoring in art but the curriculum was a little too strange and not computer-oriented at the time. I forget the exact date, but you are 41, from 10 - 41 is a difference of 31. I believe computers were invented in the what, 1980's? I don't know i may be way off. anyways what thrived you to learn scripting/programming? What, my thrive? Mine is the desire to learn.

Computers invented in the 1980s?!?! LOL. Yeah, we slayed the last of the dinosaurs and instantly made an Atari 2600 game console from the skins. (Atari 2600 came out in 1977, Coleco-vision in 1982) We never had an atari but we did eventually get a coleco-vision. Donkey Kong and Zaxxon for the win. This was the first computer my dad bought that actually worked: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TI99/4ABy the time Return of the Jedi came out (in 1983) I think I was already visiting arcades with some regularity.

We had people on the moon before the 1980's to pile on rediculousness of when a computer was made.

I'm 18 and a senior in high school, and the only constant i can say about my life is video games. I have good grades and a great resume but i will be starting a bit late no matter what career i choose (compared to 10 or 12 years old). So far the degree that best fits the description i want is the Computer engineering.

I am also a fast learner. My weakest subject is Language Arts (english) and I have a B in it.

For lots of things, in fact. Showing a fixed number of decimal places is quite common in different environments. How much money do you have? I have $5.5... just doesn't look right.

Normally in arithmatic equations, yes you drop the 0, in other cases you wouldnt. In programming, sometimes you add a .0 to an equation to make the output correct
5/2=2 5.0/2=2.5

Sigh... that would depend. On another note: Please type http://www.google.com/ into your browser and bookmark it or make it your home page. Let's pretend you have a certain number of questions you can ask. Why waste them with the simple questions?

Heheh. It's a sliding scale I guess. At any rate, regardless of the max number I think Unn has already run through 100 or more.
