Yeah soo this is on hold for the time being.  I keep trying to do it and Im just having difficulty figuring out the layers here.

Cant do it for more than a half an hour at the most before I am pulling at my hair in frustration.  trying to figure out the differences between the picture and the actual in-game block tiles is maddening.  I tried everything every one has suggested so far and I still come up short.   Unless I run into someone in-game that can help me build this, I think this is just going to have to wait till I can figure out the logic of this.

Does anyone have any good suggestions on how to build a dresser in the game?
I've been trying for the last couple hours and I just cant figure it out. mine just keeps looking like crap.

I have a suggest/request regarding the wall blocks.
Can we either get some corner blocks going or make pillars be able to fit on the same block as a wall?

Im trying to build a fence using stone walls and I've noticed that I cannot connect a back facing wall with a side facing wall due to the wall counting as a whole block even though it only uses half the block space,
therefore leaving a gap between side facing walls and forward facing walls.

Being able to either slide a pillar in there or have some sort of corner shaped wall would be appreciated.

I basically have an unlimited supply of these things at this point...

... wtf? I don't get it.

Now I'm sure we are all aware of the stereotypical zombies and skeletons in myth and lore that come out of the ground to devour the living.

But, if you ever read goosebumps stories, you will notice that is not allways the case. Some of them are just plain lazy and reach their arms up out of the soil when a person walks over their grave and tries to pull the living person down into the ground with them to eat them alive at their leisure.

I think that would be an interesting situation to have here. walking along in a graveyard at night, next thing you know some skeleton hand is grabbing you and pulling you down into the ground as you wriggle and writhe and try to break free.

Bat winged killer vampire monkies with sharp fangs and claws that want to rip you apart.

I saw this in a movie once. I don't really have a name for it but its essentially a living tree, usually an oak or weeping willow, all leafless and gnarled, that uses sound mimicry to lure prey to it and into a little knothole at it's base around its roots that works as it's mouth.  If the prey ends up being too wise for the tree and figures out whats going on, the tree can just use its branches and roots to wrap around it's victim and drag it down into it's knothole mouth and eat it up.

Are you using 1 pixel to 1 block ratio? If not, it might be necessary; if that's not working, try increasing the amount, but a 1:1 ratio should work, or at least I'd expect.

I did my best to look at the picture and determine it's size and I went one block per square of the floor tiles in the picture.  I came out with what you see now.  So I'm gonna do the suggestion and go two squares per tile now.

You do realize that all you basically did is put the word "living" in front of an earthquake right?

how is the rope physics coming along? I looked back at the old pages of the general discussion thread and there was a mention of implementing rope as an object in the game, possibly as some sort of climbing device similar to ladders.
How is that coming along? It would be nice to be able to attach a rope to something above ground and drop it down a deep hole and use it to climb back up.

I just have that, and it fits the sky limit much better than my dragon.

well if you could pm me the schematics that would be great. Im sure I can figure out how to construct it minus all the fancy tentacle things.

soo, for anyone who remembers this, awhile ago I made a thread for a glass underwater dome I had built partway through and then given up on.

I think its on page 4 or 5 of the general discussion thread now.

Anywho... for those of you that saw the screen shots I took of it, it is not a dome shape... not even close.
more along the lines of a tube shape. Suffice to say Im clearly not very good at making shapes with square blocks.

So I was wondering if anyone had some sort of schematics or other visual guide to show me how to build a 30 block high glass dome.

Basically what you get if you cut a ball in half.

It doesn't have to be exact, though if it could that would be great.  But something at least closely resembling some sort of dome shape made out of glass would be appreciated.  I clearly cannot do it on my own accord as can be seen by my failed attempt.

I think having either the ability to create spider webs and other things that old abandoned places would have in them or have such things appear there naturally would be a nice touch in the game.

In real life if you leave a place alone long enough and it will accumulate spiderwebs and lots of dust, maybe the furnishings will get old and brittle, walls will grow cracks, beds and cloth covered chairs will grow tattered and worn..

just an interesting thought. I have seen soo many buildings and other structures in the game that don't appear to have had anyone near them in ages and they still look brand spanking new.

would be nice to see some wear and tear of the ages if people aren't going to come on every so often to do some upkeep on their stuff.

well it depends on what your looking for. there are weather meters, berometers, thermometers, rain gauges.

good chance something similar to whatever your thinking of is probably somewhere in this list.

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/Meter+(device)

and can be added into the game.

does chatting about anything here include in-game things?

cause I was hoping someone out there could pm me some schematics for something I am working on that I cant seem to figure out how to build.

And no this isn't about the giant pineapple. this time..
